Some good Ukrainian food presented in a fun way. The decor of the restaurant is fun too - Soviet kitsch - but a bit over priced. The food can be a inconsistent too.

The food was good, and the service was friendly. It is in a safe location, and was nice and clean. It was pricey for the portions, but an enjoyable dining experience none the less.

Visiting the place end December with 6 people I need to say that they had big problems in serving the food and drinks systematically. Between serving the first meat and sides it took them ~ 35 minutes to get things prepared. No need to say that the first portions were already cold. Nevertheless tasty and value-for-money.

We were on August in Kiev and had dinner at this cosy restaurant in the heart of center! My husband is Italian and used to eat only "prelibatezze"! But he really appreciated this restaurant! He does love "dyruny", "vareniki" & "grechka with meat"! Very pretty place with truly tearful Ukrainian dishes !

Loved this place. The interior is super quirky, interesting and cozy. They welcome you with a fruity little vodka shot and see you off with paper wrapped seeds. The menu is unique, from Ukrainian astronaut food in a tube to Ukrainian dumplings in the colours of the Ukrainian flag. The potato pancakes with sour cream were delicious, as was the... More

I went to lunch with my colleague on Sunday afternoon. Had some nice local beers, and light snacks in very relaxing atmosphere. Food was prepared beautifully, and it was delicious.

This place is mostly tourists and therefore may not be as cheap as other restaurants, but the food and environment definitely make up for it. The menu is a mix of authentic traditional food (borscht, salo, pelmeni) with innovative ideas (ex: borscht popsicle), service was good. Drinks are chip. Looks like you need a reservation in most cases. Overall a... More

Spotykach offers a unique dining experience with a fun menu. Where else can you buy Borscht Popsicle, Ukrainian Space food, or a drinking chess set? The food was excellent if a bit pricey for Ukraine. I felt under-dressed for this place having just been walking around the city but I came early enough that there was hardly anyone in the... More

The main idea of this place seems to be different from many traditional Ucranian restaurants with traditional Ukranian food that are popular in Kiev. Some different elements in the design and some very unusual ideas on the menu make this place a bit unique and really attract visitors attention. But if you put aside the innovation and a little bit... More

If you want to taste the local cucine this is the right place. The welcome is vodka based. I have eaten a delicious soup with tomatoes and onions than meat. They offer 15% discount if you come back. The service is excellent. Do not forget the tip. Amex is not accepted
