Nice place with great service and attention to details. Would certainly recommend it for those who would like to try Ukrainian cuisine or as a place for negotiations. Almost forgot - they prepare Chicken Kyiv in the way it should be done)

This place definitely had strong Soviet Russian theme. Live music was very entertaining. The place is kind of hidden in an alley but it was worth the visit.

If you are into soviet greatness go to Lipsy Osobniak or for the kitch sense to Pervak. This place would be the third choice.!Food is simple but tasty and authentic with nice environment and service

As a former USSR citizen was surprized to find myself in such domestic atmosphere as 25 years ago. Very recommended place.

For me, as for former USSR-citizen it would be not so much interesting, just a kind of deja vu. Furnished not in 1960-s soviet style, but has rather collection of reminders on those times. The cuisine is an attempt to restore some soviet recipes. There is no historical soviet cuisine, you must clearly understand this. Soviet cuisine is anything what... More

My business colleague took me to dinner at the Spotykach restaurant recently which was a slightly surealistic and wierd experience. We descended a short flight of stairs and were greeted by friendly staff in Soviet country style costume with a small glass of what I assume to be fruit flavoured vodka. We had the place more or less to ourselves... More

Friends advised to visit the restaurant. At the first opportunityI have come here. Service-is well, like a cuisine. Interesting interior, convenient location of tables and chairs. At the entrance I was given a bag of seeds. If you want to understand what it means to Ukrainian cuisine at its best, you must visit this restaurant

Quite small and stuffy premises of restaurants furnished in the "socialist realizm" style. The food belongs to the same period of food deficite beciseds chief cook with an air of nonchalance. Due to central location and foreignrs' interest to soviet period this restarant is usually quite fully occupied so the waiter staff acts very slowly. The shot of vodka with... More

If you're not familiar with the Soviet culture or didn't grow up in one of those countries during the 79/80's - this place is a must
