Cheap and traditional

National foods. Served as self-service, always fresh and tasty. I recommend Ukrainian Borsch and dumplings with potatoes and mushrooms.

The dishes choice is very broad. Basically, it's home cooking. They always a large or small portion. On the first, second, appetizers and desserts there are several waiters, they are behind the counters and give the portions. The furniture is wooden and quite heavy. The interior is in the Ukrainian style. No music, but there is a TV without sound)

Puzata Hata was one of my first restaurants in Kiev, and it's among my favorites. The food is tasty, the cost is low, and there's many options. It's great for vegetarians such as myself, with many things changing depending on season. Lent is a great time to come, as there are even more vegetarian options! If you are looking for... More

One of the best restaurants in Kiev. Self service with many varieties of national food. "Kotleti po kievski" and crab salad one of my favourites.

Will remind you of your school cafeteria. Good variety and ready made food. Cheap prices. Perfect for a quick lunch. Some improvements needed: bread is not great, ambiencece is poor...but overall ok.

almost everything is weighted so you can eat as much or as little depending on your appetite and budget. Locals eat there too and I like their coffee for taste and price. There a few soups to choose from as a starter. I've been to a few locations and it was as good.

Weighted food, you choose what you want on plate. Very crowded place, fresh, cheap, good food. Much more locals than tourist, few steps from Maidan Square.

Full stomach! Cheap and cool. Place for hanging out with family right in the heart of Podil, near Kyiv-Mohyla academy. The personnel is so sweet! Beautiful view from the window. Separate room. However can be very noisy and overcrowded at weekends. Dishes are mostly delicious and at least partly traditionally Ukrainian ones!
