Good quality authentic Romanian food

A good place to eat dinner. Try the Miti-tei (3 are more than enough) and the Papanash for dessert. The outside seating is very nice and the prices are low.

Recommended by both the Hilton concierge and our tour guide the following day. Had the bean and pork soup to start and then the chicken liver polenta for main followed by the berries and cream pancakes (though cold, not sure if meant to be) Was all okay but personally not worthy of the recommendation.

SItuated next to ''plata victoria'' where many monuments are situated (plus the museum of arts), this place is an excellent choice for whoever wants to have a good local dinner and get served with good quality. Staff attitude is great, their English is very good and all of them are service-minded. As for the restaurant: it remains in good condition... More

Affordable restaurant serving romanian traditional food. Went there about 2 weeks ago with a friend of mine for lunch. The menu is ok, if you're vegetarian you have what to choose. the food was good. The service, so and so.. my friend needed an ashtray, which was provided too late, and it seems they forgot about my dessert "papanasi"; when... More

i was a daily customer at La Mama until this year. i went a couple of tims this year and the food is not as good as it used to be: smaller portions, lack in taste, not served properly and reheated. i always eat the cream soup of vegetables and this dish seemed not to be altered at all. but... We ate here for dinner, the food selection was extensive and here you could taste the traditional Romanian fair - the food was very well cooked and the restaurant was very light and airy with plenty of room between tables. Remember smoking is allowed in these restaurants, which is strange for those of us europeans where smoking is banned in... More

This time we visited their outlet at ALBA IULIA square...As expected, their authentic Romanian cuisine is as ever delicious and affordable - the only problem is only what to choose from their impressive variety of mouth watering dishes..As usual we ordered a bit too much, given also the very generous portions, nonetheless one must not venture into this place bent...
