"We started 13 years ago, on 27 February 1999, with an idea. We tried to keep this idea intact and even to improve it day by day. Because of you, our clients are most important to us, like I was the most important person for my mother when I came home for dinner. If we made it this far in 13 years, we owe this to our clients, that make us become better every day and we owe this to our 500 people team.I want to thank all my regular customers and to all those who have stood by us in these 13 years. Fairly inexpensive...good quantity of Romanian food

Order the stuffed peppers...do not order the Schnitzel with crispy crust..it tasted like rough paper..otherwise food was OK...service was good. We went to the La Mama near the Athenee Palace Hotel.

When you dealing with a chain of restaurants, you are never quite certain if you are targeting the right restaurant. Nevertheless, with general experience, this chain delivers average food that would not impress a western tourist. Better that you get out of Bucharest and taste the quality Romanian food in the country. This chain tries to emulate on a mass... More

Ate here after it being recommended by a tour guide. Plenty of choice. Portions were large. Had the schnitzel and which was offered in normal and smaller portion. Normal was two pieces, one of which would have been what i would have expected. Nice outside eating area.

We were looking for a restaurant on a a rainy night in Bucharest when we came across La Mama. We entered to find a bustling atmosphere with nearly every table taken, We were quickly found a table in the back area and after only a short wait a very pleasant waitress with good english came and took our order. I... More

We were at a loss where to eat and was recommended on no less than 4 different occasions to try La Mama so we did we sat out side under a brolly (not raining). Food fantastic service wonderful and the doughnut pud was great. Try the fresh Lemonade served in a jug with a straw.

Went to their city centre location on the 20th of August, I was starving. Ordered "ciorba de burta" (tripe sour soup) and "mici" (grilled spicy mince in small sausage form). All delicious, especially the "mici". Portions were really generous too. The only reason why I won't give a 5 star rating is because the tripe soup seemed to have chicken... More

Ample choice of mostly local, traditional dishes. Good location, good value for your money. You should try the house wine and the stuffed peppers, the summer' s dill pickles or the locals' take on the chilli con carne dish.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a number of people, and it was just 2 blocks from our hotel. We chose to eat outside on the patio. All tables are covered by umbrellas, and the entire courtyard is shaded and cozy. Our service was quite good for Romanian standards (you may notice that few people in this country smile... More

I went at La Mama close to Magheru boulevard with my coworkers. The serving was good but it was a little cold because the table was close to the window
