"We started 13 years ago, on 27 February 1999, with an idea. We tried to keep this idea intact and even to improve it day by day. Because of you, our clients are most important to us, like I was the most important person for my mother when I came home for dinner. If we made it this far in 13 years, we owe this to our clients, that make us become better every day and we owe this to our 500 people team.I want to thank all my regular customers and to all those who have stood by us in these 13 years. Classic Romanian food in several locations in Bucharest (Chain). No surprises . Correct food- average quality. Best choice for me- beef entrecote.

Low food quality despite a friendly staff. Pay cheap, eat cheap. Large portions and Healthy many times. Crowded during the week-end.

So this is a chain. For me this reminds me of some food chains in Russia like Mu-Mu where you will eat standard, sometimes good for a cheap price but depending on the day it might be better than others! I had a chicken and mushroom pancake for starter which was filling but not that great compared to another restaurant... More

As many other people who visited this restaurant I could recommend it for very friendly staff, tasty traditional food in large portions, fine list of wine. It's true that the interior is a little outdated, but not in a embarrassing way or old charm and intimacy harm. A place to prior chose when not very decided about the lunch in... More

Years ago these restaurants were something new in the restaurants market in Bucharest. Now, La mama is nothing else than another restaurant with poor services and mediocre foot quality. Even if the menu contains some traditional Romanian food, the quality of the services and of the food is quite low in most of La mama restaurants. Regarding the restaurants outside... More

I went to this restaurant last December, I believe it was the 20th of December, to be exact, on a Saturday evening. It was quite cold outside, but the restaurant lacked the necessary warmth to feel comfortable walking in and sitting at the table. The place stank of cigarette smoke and people kept on smoking throughout... The menu had enough... More

Went here with some Romanian friends. Many delicious Romanian dishes and beers. I had the ciolan cu fasole (a bone-in, smoked ham resting on a bed of beans) with a Silva (Dark Romanian Beer). Melts in your mouth. Highly Recommended!

As a non local the exterior looks great (as so many buildings do in Bucharest). Once inside, you step back some years in time. Classic interior, bit outdated but be not afraid to pick a table and sit down. The menu is offering great Romanian dishes. I went for the traditional Schnitzel. Lovely! The wine list is even more fun... More
