Very nice decoration with good music. Good choice of plates, said to be traditional, we enjoyed food. Local beer was also very good. Service was fast and correct. Tables on the floor have the nicest view.

This place is a "must visit" on any trip to Bucharest just to experience the beautiful interior of the building with its arched ceilings, painted mosaics and carved wood. But it can get very busy so its advisable to book. We booked a few hours in advance but when we arrived we were very disappointed to be led past an... More

This is an absolute gem. It's a pub that does food too. BUT it does it with style - it's an old masterpiece of a building that is right up to date with it's beer, food and service. The building was established in 1879 and has been tastefully and wonderfully well preserved, lovely old wooden floors, furniture, spiral staircases and... More

The atmosphere is great, and this is a fantastic place to stop off for a beer or four with your buddies. But, the charm ends there. The food was so-so, and the wait staff are mediocre. You should visit, but plan to eat elsewhere.

Historical restaurant, so big and majestic but so cozy. Everything is extremely efficient in here. Despite the dimensions and number of sits, service was very fast and accurate. The menu is quite extended but everything seemed delicious and all the dishes coming to other tables were very promising. We had the traditional ciorba inside bread and it was amazing. We... More

This a good restaurant to have dinner and drink some beers with friends or coworkers. The food was average and the waitstaff were just okay. Don't ask for anything special, and you'll probably be alright. That said, the atmosphere is great! Try it at least once when you're in Bucharest!

My husband had Dracula's stew. It was an adventure and good food. I had the spare ribs. It was mildly flavored. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, colorful and well presented. We took pictures of Dracula and the fireplace. We were the only ones in the restaurant as we arrived before the dinner crowd and after the lunch crowd. It... More

really good food, pretty alright service (very very crowded).. waiter gave good recommendations. lots of choices of Romanian food. will definitely go back when in Bucharest! Interesting performances at night with the waiters coming out to dance to show gratitude! Tip to book early to avoid long waiting lines.

What an absolutely gorgeous restaurant built in 1879, sat there thinking if only the walls could talk. Such a pity about the food, it was diabolical. Dont go there to eat, go have a few drinks and move on.
