Fairly good sushi in the Old Town

My Romanian friend and I felt in the mood for some sushi. In the cold of an early evening in December, we came upon Sushi Ko, located in the hearth of Bucharest's Old Town, on Stavropoleus Street. She'd never been there before, and there weren't many customers there at the time so it didn't look... read more

Good food and nice ambient. The prices are pretty high compared with other Bucharest restaurants but not prohibitive.

The restaurant is located right in the middle of the Old Town, so it's very convenient to get there, have dinner and then move on to a pub/club nearby. The food is ok, nothing fancy though. Service is ok. I find it a little crowded given the number of tables, so you can't have any privacy unless you book a... More

It's not cheap, but it's cheaper than others and easy to reach, in the Old Town. Quality varies a little from dinner to dinner. In Bucharest, this sushi restaurant may be counted among the good ones. But we have a lot to learn! :) There are some garbage bins near the terrace and sometimes, in the summer, it get's a... More

This is a nice sushi restaurant in the center of Bucharest. The waiters speak English, French and some even German or Spanish. Food is good, but not amazing, don't expect awesome sushi, after all, this is not Japan. But it does the trick pretty good. The price however is a bit too high in my opinion. The service is great... We went to the one in Baneasa Shopping Mall and went on the first floor of this place. The table was cleaned but under every table was full of crumbles...not a pleasant impression. We ordered a sushi menu. The fish was absolutely not fresh. The rolls looked as if leftovers of meat, or sides, were used not to waste anything.... More

I have been to many sushi and japanese restaurant and this one is ok but nothing more. The sushis, makis, futomaki, nigiri etc are common nothing special. The japanese plates are basic and for my plate overcooked. The service was basic some waiters were with a smile while others should have stayed home. The price... too expensive for the quality......
