As many of the restaurants I like, this one is not located on a busy street but on a quiet small one but it is however quite central. The restaurant is family owned and there are only a few tables which makes it an intimate and cozy place to be. It is not cheap but it is worthed. The food... More

A German Romanian sells so called German food for relatively high prices, expensive compared with the restaurants of that style of kitchen and furniture in Bucharest. We ordered house wine without looking the menu - as usual in Romania, and we got expensive wine which he afterwards called his house wine. Within six days Bucharest, it was the only bazar-trick... Best German restaurant in Bucharest in 2007 and 2008(maybe the years are wrong). Very friendly, and the owner speeks German. The food is very good and always fresh! The beer is the best and a very good dessert, but you will never have the chance to eat also dessert! I love Deutsche Kneipe! I go there every two weeks!

Food is better than an german pub, beer is wonderful, prices are affordable (around 8 euros a big schnitzel with side dishes ). The owners are there all the time, very polite and friendly. The bad thing is that smoking is permitted inside ! The place is very small (6 tables and a bar) and is suitable for friends meetings... More

It is an out-of-the-way cul-de-sac and immediately you enter an outdoor beer garden (not active in mid-October). Entering the door gives the gentle smells and sights of a German Gasthaus. The menu says: "Paradise of Schnitzel". That alone made my mouth water - they had all kinds, but I chose the simple one, with spetzele. Oh, what a grand meal... More

We are a young couple travelling a lot who chose to celebrate my birthday in this restaurant, along with our parents. They lived many years in Germany and we wanted to go to a place that creates that familiar, cosy, informal Bavarian feeling. The choice couldn’t be better since we had a memorable evening, both given by the atmosphere and... More

I've recently rediscovered this place, used to be a favourite watering hole in the old days before marriage and children changed one's life priorities. I'm happy to say that great atmosphere, food and wonderful beer are still there. The many snitzels in the summer and the marinated ribs in the winter were always my favourite and there they were, still... More
