This traditional restaurant had traditional decorations and traditional food. The meal was ample with good flavors. We had the traditional soup. and actually splurged for chocolate cake, homemade ice cream and caramel sauce. It was decadent.

If I were a tourist I would like to visit Vatra, the food is actually traditional (heavy food) and well cooked. Living in the same city with this restaurant, sometimes we go there to indulge food like it was cooked by our grandmothers. The chicken with garlic (whole chicken or half) is a guilty pleasure and unforgettable :-)

The most delicious romanian food i ever ate in Bucharest. The waiters are nice and pay attention for every detail, prices are affordable and huge portions. Folk dancers are most of the evenings. The papanasi desert ends a great evening.
