Quite fine restaurant, mixed with style of fine dinning and domestic Balkan Croatin look by its interior. Food is lovely, hospitality beautiful and polite. Only thing I havent liked were unspiced Ostrea Edulis seeshells, their taste was to salty and not enough spicy, that should be. At the end I... read more

Selected this restaurant for a very special day, and a very special dinner with my entire family. Food was okay, yet the prices were far to high and the food arrangements non-existential. The staff was slow to respond, and somewhat disinterested. Although we asked for background music of some sort, there wasn't any. All in all: I must complain, they... More

I was in Baltazar twice and both visit were just great. The food is really excellent and the atmosphere (especially when you sit outside in the garden) is amazing. The great experience was also with staff working at Baltazar. Apparently they have a lot of experience and they know what they do.

Reading the TripAdvisor reviews we were prepared for poor service but good food, so we went anyway. The results were the exact opposite. I was sold on the fish (big dish of sample of uncooked fish brought to the table to choose from), ...long story but we had dreadful asparagus soup, a dish of very over cooked sausage and stale... I was few days ago with my business partners in Baltazar. The welcome was excellent. The table in the garden was amazing. The garden is big and beautiful.Half of us had meat and half had fish. Every dish was perfectly prepared, fresh and tasty. The waiter was fast and kind. He recommended the right wine that went well with our... More

I recently invited my foreign colleagues for a business dinner and it was an amazing experience as always. We actually wanted to visit the nearby seafood restaurant Gaspar which is owned by the same owner but since they were booked we were offered to have seafood in Baltazar restaurant. Our foreign guests were impressed with the food quality, great atmosphere... More

My first visit to this restaurant was also my last. The business dinner for 10 people, 4 of whom were foreigners, was absolutely horrifying. From the moment we walked in, the waiter was quite indifferent to our arrival and, as the evening went on, went from irritation to utter disrespect for us. Luckily, foreign guests had no way of understanding... More

The lunch and a week later when I went back for dinner, I enjoyed tremendously in this peaceful restaurant at the upper part of Zagreb. The lunch course was a turkey salad and perfectly presented with just the necessary spices and oil to make it delicious. The dinner later on was also good and very well presented by the Waitress... I had one of the best lunches ever in this restaurant, although it happened a couple years ago. Great atmosphere, excellent service.

One of the best place in Zagreb for an old fashioned family meal. I have eaten there many times, and the service is always great, friendly and prompt. Beautifully decorated tavern with a very interesting, very specific Croatian menu, ranging from usual dishes like beefsteak. If you decide to eat some good fresh adriatic sea fish (this place is one... More
