The lunch and a week later when I went back for dinner, I enjoyed tremendously in this peaceful restaurant at the upper part of Zagreb. The lunch course was a turkey salad and perfectly presented with just the necessary spices and oil to make it delicious. The dinner later on was also good and very well presented by the Waitress... I had one of the best lunches ever in this restaurant, although it happened a couple years ago. Great atmosphere, excellent service.

One of the best place in Zagreb for an old fashioned family meal. I have eaten there many times, and the service is always great, friendly and prompt. Beautifully decorated tavern with a very interesting, very specific Croatian menu, ranging from usual dishes like beefsteak. If you decide to eat some good fresh adriatic sea fish (this place is one... More

We sat in the rear garden of this 30+ year old establishment. The staff were charismatic, charming and friendly. Our waiter gave us wonderful recommendations and we had scallops and a two portions of traditional Croatian cheese parcels to start. The steak that followed was perhaps the best we have ever eaten. The bean and pumpkin oil salad was divine.... More

Located in Kaptol and a walking distance from beautiful Cathedral served good food. We arrived around 10pm on a Monday. A little bit late but we have a very good dinner. We had a big beef burger with nice grilled vegetables and turkey with a very good taste. If you are looking for typical Croatian dishes, Baltazar is a choice... More

This restaurant was recommended by a Croatian business colleague. It is a bit off the main street at the end of a quaint courtyard. The restaurant itself was warm and inviting. The food was up to standards of other more frequented travel destinations. I had the steak which was cooked to perfection with a hint of horseradish in the seasoning... More

The cuisine of the meat part is based on fresh meat, freshly picked vegetables, selected dairy products and the finest smoked and cured meats. All these products must be of the highest quality. Meals coming out of Baltazar’s kitchen contain a large amount of native Croatian products like “štrukle”, noodles, “mlinci”, “njoki”, green pasta, strudel, pastries and many others.

one of the most famous restaurants in Zagreb, focused mostly on meat. It is a sure win for feeding your business partners with traditional cuisine and enjoying a great evening in a beautiful courtyard. you can't go wrong with this one. Also, in the same courtyard is a fish restaurant Gaspar and wine cellar Melchior, also worth a visit.
