I had this restaurant recommended by local Zagreb residents and finally tried it. I was resistant because I saw some poor reviews for service. I disagree with these reviews after tonight. I had very good service and I suspect that at least some of the reviewers do not fully understand Balkan culture. I have come to understand that "abrupt" or... More

My last visit to Sofra wasn't so delightful as before.Good thing, we managed to get a table without reservations, and food arrived to our table rather quickly.Bad thing, my kvrgusa (chicken pie with heavy cream) was tasteless, non-salty,rubbery, overcooked and partly burned/carbonised. Thankfuly, Im a huge fan of Bosnian cooking, due to my Bosnian grandparents, and surely will come back... More

I came across this restaurant and, together with my girlfriend, I had the best meal in many days traveling through Croatia and Slovenia. Decoration is primorous, first of all. Then we had bosnian moussaka with vegetables and cevapici. We left very much satisfied and we recommend it highly.

I discovered this place a bit late, but since then, i visit frequently. The menu is an adventure :) Still making my way through it, but so far everything i ordered (except the burek type pastries, which unfortunately do no live up to the original Bosnian standard, which is, to make it clear - legendary) was outstanding. Many different meals,... More

We went on Monday and we hace a spot in the terrace, withouth problem! It is a bit far, but no problm if you go by car (free parking spots in the street). I would not say it's cheap, it's a correct relation quality-price, but in comparison of what we'd tried in the rest of Zagreb (non-tourist places), it is... More

Restaurant is away from a center of town but well worth a visit. There are 2 restaurants with this name (same owner) but the original one is in part of town called Borovje. The other is in a business center Greengold (closer to the center) but personally i prefer the original one. People who like meat will love this restaurant.... More

Sofra is interesting restaurant. Food is traditional Bosnian food, atmosfere is traditional too. Portions are big. The good thing is that they have a parking but the negative thing is slow, unpolite service.

Although I booked a table when I arrived right on time I had to wait more than 20 minutes for our table to deliver. The waiters are due to this are not even told
