Just FYI, this restaurant is closed until the middle of August 2014 because the street is under repair and there is no gas line. (The 5 star review is just because I didn't want to hurt the rating of this restaurant simply for being closed.)

Stari Fijaker is one of my favorite restaurants because it truly celebrates the old-fashioned Croatian culture through interior design and it´s incredible food. The staff represent themselves in a very professional and kind manner which helps you feel at home (which shows true, Croatian hospitality). Stari Fijaker has a great variety on the menu, all that have some connection to... More

My Croatian friend took me here to give me a chance to taste local food. A nice and cozy place with delicious Croatian and Slovenian cuisine. Strange pop music was the only bad part :P

This restaurant is indeed great value for money! The portions are generous, the quality is good and my mother LOVES the bread here. In addition, the food here is truly Croatian! Although the service may not be top notch, the service staff are nice. Recommended indeed!

Had a lovely dinner here! Prices are very good, the quality of the food is great, their menu comes in different languages, and the decor is somewhat old-fashioned, but has a good vibe over it. Traditional local cuisine, Croatian wines, and a wide variety of choices on the menu. Definately to be recommended!

Great restaurant with fantastic staff! We ate here on a Friday evening and had the shepard's stew and a mixed grill for the table and everyone was very satisfied with the food and the portion sizes.

Great local food, went here on a Saturday afternoon as a group of four. We all ordered something different and nothing disappointed. The local sausages and sheppards stew, were probably the highlights. The house wine was also very good and reasonably priced. The wait staff was very quick and attentive.

Recommended by our hotel it really deserves a high rating. Typical Croatian cuisine with attentive staff. We found wine in Zagreb to be on the expensive side so good, local reasonably priced beer was welcomed.

This little gem is in the center of the city and well worth finding! I wanted something more traditionally Croatian and I got it. Our waiter was very helpful recommending food that fit my likes and he was spot on! I had the beef stew and loved every bite! Very friendly and affordable. Quaint, charming, and a great place to... This is my favorite place to eat in Zagreb. It's big enough to always find a place and the food is great. I highly recommend Popečci a la Fijaker.
