Good sushi, fresh fish, and questionable service!

To cut the long story short, food was decent. Went there wth my wife to have simple dinner. Started with miso soup, then went for sashimi (tuna was really great while salmon was a bit fat for my taste), finally we took Tokyo sushi menu, accompanied by graševina Adžić which was really good. Finished... read more

This is one of our favourite restaurants for many years. There are two in Zagreb, this one was the first. All dishes are grest, my favourites are spring rolls (with chicken and crabs) and black cod.

Again the same old story, how is possible to manage one ethnic or japanese restaurant by croatian people... Come on, better they go on to use grill for their mixed meat or that kind of oily hamburgers. What about rice, sushi ecc. ??!!?? Ok we are in Zagreb not in Tokyo but to cook rice in this way... and waiter?... More

By far the best restaurant in Zagreb, and also very stable quality, my favourite most of time since it was open. Excellent sushi and sashimi, but also wok and fusion. Excellent service and setting.

Everything was excellent. Food (fresh, fresh sea food, the best tuna ever), wine, atmosphere, service... Perfect! Warm recommendation!

I adore Japanese food but don't like their rice though and neither do I like wasabi and ginger. However, in terms of fresh fish - this is more than above average restaurant. Beautiful marinated tuna, fresh octopus and salmon are just beyond comparison. Tempura is also beautifully made and deserts are tasty with well balanced quantity. They also have nice... More

We've booked a table for 12 in advance but the service was very slow and we've waited more than 45 minutes to get food. When food arrived, Takenoko once more proved to be the best Asian fusion & sushi restaurant in Zagreb.

Very good sushi, great place for romantic dinner. We have been there a few times. Little bit expensive but worth it! Definitly value for money!

Nice design inside and well located. Unfortunately I have to wait almost 40 min for food. Sushi quality was average = ok, but for the price paid I expected something more

Excited about the idea of trying Zagreb's finest Japanese establishment. I was profoundly disappointed by the service. Drinks arrived 15 mins after the entree arrived as they're unstaffed on a busy night. Mains arrived a while after and were disappointing to say the least. Cocktails were very average and lacked presentation. Overall, it was an expensive meal for what we... More
