Description: Le Bistro has a strong heritage and history as the city's culinary...
Le Bistro has a strong heritage and history as the city's culinary innovator. Opened in 1986, as a small French type of restaurant, Le Bistro immediately took an important place in the everyday life of the capital. It was the first restaurant with the glass roof. Le Bistro hostesses were the first in town to wear silk uniforms. Also, Le Bistro was the first place where wine and champagne were served per glass. It is interesting that Le Bistro first served little chocolate with the coffee, and in 1989 Le Bistro was the first place in Croatia to serve the famous Italian dessert tiramisu and celebrate Valentine's Day. Today, this charming renovated restaurant is home to the legendary 'Esplanade Strukli' - traditional dish of Zagreb region - and the best in town! Le Bistro offers light breakfast, excellent coffee, awarded cakes, croissants, Menu du jour at just 19 EUR (3-course menu per Chef's choice with glass of house wine, coffee or tea), seasonal a la carte menu - available on App store for download and weekly promotional menus. Enjoy Le Bistro during breakfast, lunch or dinner inside or on the green terrace. Open every day from 9 am - 11 pm

The place itself is stunning and has a great ambiance. The service is warm and professional. The food although not to my taste is of excellent quality and will be appreciated by others. Thank you for the complimentary items we received - desert platter and an entree fish dish (see photos)

this is very quiet place. While having lunch you can discuss business matters with your colleagues. Staff is very attentive, they are providing good service but you practically don't notice them at all. Food was very good as well.

An elegant hotel very well located. 1920's European architecture built as an Orient Express Hotel. Beautiful courtyard, great bar. Nice help. Would definitely recommend it for your stay in Zagreb.

They were booked full with a tour group but made a place for me at the bar (which isn't normal). Food was tasty and service was great.

Having arrived earlier that day after an exhausting long haul from Australia we decided to dine in the Hotel's Bistro....what a gastronomic surprise awaited us! From the informative introduction to the bistro and its menu, which incidentally highlighted dietary preferences, to the generosity of the serves, the presentation and taste of the food and the friendly professional ambience, this experience... We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and decided to grab lunch at 12pm at the bistro. Before we could be seated, the lady wait staff told us we had to consume our lunch by 2pm because there was an event (champagne sponsored event) and she had to re-arranged the table. We told her if was ok, but notice... More

This is the kind of place that lives on its hotel's name. I had a ceaser salad that had 10x too much dressing, and a "beefsteak" that was two pieces of beef cooked to the wrong temp, within the same piece! 7 terrible fries, in a mason jar, plus a weird mushroom and asparagus dish came alongside in a small... The average bistro or I would call it even a restaurant. I was expecting to taste something really special since it was recommended by colleagues and trip advisor. At the end, it was okay, enough if you are starving, but I will not go there again. Plus it is quite overpriced. Nevertheless, staff is very friendly and kind. Location is... More

Great food, excellent service in comfortable surroundings. Prices are as you would expect in the best hotel in Zagreb. However, the daily menu is very good value. Three courses, a glass of wine and coffee for 140kn (£14). The best value in town for a very nice meal.
