Definitely get the Skradinska Torta. It's flourless, made with ground nuts and is like something my mother would make. I kept going back for more. Everything is super-fresh. The walnut and caramel tarte was delicious too but not as exceptional as the Skradinska Torta.

A little shop round the corner from the cathedral, excellent desserts and a best friendly shop manager. The cakes were so good we went back for more! Highly recommended!

Delightful setting, great coffee and delicious selection of cakes. Thought the bill would be 'up there' given the location, service and selection, but that was a nice surprise too - very reasonable and cheaper than many cafes visited over the past weeks in Croatia. Best coffee stop of the trip.

While this is maybe a 2 minute walk from the cathedral and main square, it has the feel of being a secluded retreat. My lemon/almond cake was delicious, and it turns out was gluten free, too.

It is Zagreb and it is Independence Day! Almost all shops and cafés are closed. Very Frustrating! Worse: it is, as we say, raining cats & dogs, to rolls of thunder. I see a dry refuge: Cafe Amélie! I am welcomed - and in English too. I have a large beaker of hot coffee and a great slice of excellent... More

Great place in center of town with even greater cakes. Rather small and always crowded but worth waiting. Cakes are so imaginative and specific for this place. Definitive must if you like sweet.

Visited on last afternoon in Zagreb after 5 weeks in Croatia. Greeted by a snarly staff member and told "You will have to wait" as they were about to take delivery of new stock. Taken aback by this, I did not think to just leave but ordered cake and drinks from another polite staff member. The cake was very nice... More

A small place, somewhat hidden from site or just outflashed by the monumental cathedral standing near by. Once you notice the charming window and the sign "Amelie" you'll experience that movie feeling with Yan Tiersten playing in the back :) The interior provides the same, and the cakes are excellent.

Amelie is located perfectly next to the cathedral off of the main square, and has a adorable terrace. The staff is very friendly and are all well-trained. They will take the time to find the perfect cake for you. As their selection of cakes and macarons is vast, it is difficult to just pick one.
