Mexican food in Europe has always been an adventure. In this sense, Pirates KARAKA did not disappoint. I was not expecting a pirate-themed Mexican restaurant. The food was decent, but the drinks were lacking. We ordered several pitchers of margaritas on the rocks. Each pitcher was 90% ice, 10% margarita. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Inexpencive and very good service and food. Also the ambience is convenient. We have been six person and the bill was about 100,00 kn per person or about 20,00$

We arrived and looked at the outdoor seating thinking that the traffic noise would be too much, so we headed into the restaurant which quickly drove us back out to the outdoor seating. The inside was very cave like and was unclean. We should have left then, but... I ordered a Margarita which was basically ice with a little something... More

In the basement, far from the daylight, this little eatery offers mexican specialties and grilled meet and stakes. Every now and then we take out some lunchons to our office and the quality remains the same. The landlord and waiters and friendly and funny.

Reviews said great atmosphere and excellent and fun staff. Our waiter was not exactly over friendly or fun. but he seemed to be the only waiter available on a busy night. However. my beef Fajitas were good. My wife's meal was nothing special. Overall it was OK but not spectacular

I went to this restaurant because my friend recommended it to me. To be honest this is a last time im gonna listen to his advice when it comes to food. Decoration is great although it is very old and it should be refurbished asap. Chairs are broken, tablecloths old etc. First thing that i noticed was the glasses. We... More

Nice variety of food at good prices. Not orgasmic, but good. Mexican restaurants in Zagreb are a bit dodgy really, but Karaka is unlike any other, quite decent. Love the dark atmosphere, and staff dressed as pirates :) Nice desserts (try dark pancakes with chocholate mousse) and strong cocktails.
