A small, beautifully decorated tavern with a very interesting, very specific Croatian menu, ranging from usual dishes like beefsteak to more exotic ones like the eel-frog stew with palenta. Some dishes have to be ordered in advance, which i... More

After walking the fortified Upper Town, which is full of tourists, we decided to steep wooden stairs refer to the Upper Town, the oldest part of Zagreb. The upper town is deserted, empty, when we are already thinking back to the regular tourist route at the end of a small street we saw two restaurants, one cafe and another restaurant... More

After a couple of days in the beautiful city of Zagreb we discovered this delightful restaurant. We had frog and eel for two and it was delicious. The house wine is more than adequate and the service and setting is wonderful. Make the effort to walk a few minutes beyond the tourist area and find this ( not too hidden)... More

I expected a more local menu as the name suggests. Only a couple of specialties like frogs and snails. The food was nice, a bit expensive.

We've been in this restaurant in a big group of 14 people during our exchange month in Zagreb to try some of the specialities of the restaurant and the city. We asked for fried frogs ans scargout, which were amazing and very well served! The waiters were very regardful and at the end each one of the girls received a... More

Had a great dinner here! Very friendly & courteous service. Came as a very large extended family of 26 on a tour. Surprised at the quality of food. To start we had deep fried dough balls served with cottage cheese & thin pizza-like bread with some greens. Mains was an oven roasted pan of veal & lamb with potatoes &... More

In the solitude of a quiet street in the Upper Town, we saw several tables at which light the candles filckered. Pleasantly surprised by the nice atmosphere we sat down and ordered a traditional Croatian cuisine. From the neighboring cafes to us hear the sounds of one male vocal group pto s complement atmosfer. Food and services were also at... More
