We ate in this place many weekends when visiting Zagreb, most recently in September 2014. It is a cozy warm restaurant in the winter and in the summer it is pleasant outdoor terrace sitting. Location of the restaurant makes it a an attractive and convenient. The food has been hit or miss, sometimes very good and sometimes disappointing. The place... More

I have now eaten dinner at the Vinodol a few times and my experience has been variable. Excellent steak and moist stuffed vines offset by a non- descript soup and lukewarm risotto. Even so it is better than average and I will probably go back again. It is a popular, upmarket place to eat, always busy. In the summer the... More

Looking forward to an authentic grilled lamb Zagrebian meal outside of our hotel, we gave Vinodol a try. It was the most disappointing meal in ages and unfortunately on a short weekend, wasted our opportunity to eat in far better restaurants. The rice was stone cold, almost uncooked, and the lamb was tough, gristly and with very little meat on... More

Could be that the service is good for tourist, foreign people, when they try to impress, but I was not satisfied. One waiter took the order, second waiter brought the food, third cleaned up the tabel. Hell, I was confused, till now something like that never happened to me in a restaurant. I am used that if one waiter starts... More

This restaurant was recommended and I was not let down. The place is lovely with an indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. More traditional Croatian food served here - but the staff are helpful if not sure. The pricing was good.

I was advised by my hotel concierge that this restaurant would be good for traditional croatian food. He wasn't wrong. The atmosphere and surroundings were beautiful and you must ask in the winter months to be seated inside the main area which appears to be underground. The waiters had extensive knowledge of wine and food and were very willing to... More

We was told about this restaurant by the staff at Hotel Jagerhorn, every part of this restaurant was top notch, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were very good and advised us on what they thought we would like, which we did. Would certainly return if I was in Zagreb again

Vinodol has been around forever. Being at the cusp of restaurants in the former Yugoslavia when company directors took their business partners there through transition and now so many years later, rejuvenated, still going strong, nice and subtle with good food and pleasant, professional waiters. Excellent price-quality ratio.
