Lovely dining experience

My wife and I had a lovely meal at this restaurant. We went for Croatian fare and it was all well done. The best part of the meal, however, was the service, which was exceptional. Very friendly and informed staff.

We were very impressed by the look of the terrace, with green plants and white napkins, however the food we ordered (the two main courses beef and octopus - presented as Croatian specialties) were very disappointing. They had no taste at all... We asked the waiter to recommend us a wine and although they many wines in the menu, the... More

Agava is located in the main pedestrian street in Zagreb Although you can find numerous restaurants and bars in the street you can easily spot it as the building and table set up help you to distinguish it from other touristic restaurants. We had a Gnocchi and a Steak witch they tasted good but nothing special . Service was fine.... More

Enjoyed a really lovely meal here which was good value for the quality of food that we had. So lucky to get a table, much nicer than any of the places nearby, with their tourist menus. Had eggplant and pesto starter, followed by pasta.

Agava restaurant Zagreb The restaurant is very charming. The menu includes some typical foods, good salads, and a little bit of everything. It is not too extensive (which we like better) but everything very tasty, well prepared and some interesting combinations that really made the dinner special. The started of focaccia with anchovies was also very good and they bring... More

We sat on the home high terrace with a very good waiter/sommelier. On his advice we had the cheese risotto to start which was excellent. A great bottle of wine to go with it, also on recommendation. Just told him what we liked and he came up with the perfect wine. We both had a delicious fish dish for main... More

We went there because of the reviews on TA. Well, we were not disappointed. We ended up going there twice for dinner. Both were one of our best, if not the best meals in Croatia. Try the tuna steak which was cooked for perfection. The waiting staff there were friendly and knowledgable. A fine dinner for two with a bottle... More

Surely one of the best restaurant in Zagreb. I stay in this restaurant many time and I think that is at the libel of an Italian or French restaurant. The staff it's perfect they are unexpectionable. There is a lot of kind of wine. The position is perfect on the main old street of Zagreb.
