Description: "Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.

The location in the old Town area was an excellent choice for early dining. The view looking over the street is a plus. We had an excellent waiter that helped with the menu and made you feel relaxed.

We found this place by accident and it's for sure worth going! Already the service was amazing and we really felt welcome at this beautiful restaurant. After that, Food just confirmed that we were right when choosing this place. Great selection of Mediterranean tastes and really good wine!

We ate at Agava and enjoyed the meal. The service was excellent, the wine was local and delicious, and the food was some of the best I've had in Croatia. Between the 3 of us, we had the French Onion Soup (very good), Baked Octopus, Risotto (bits of pear in it- delicious), and bread/olive oil, We sat all afternoon high... More

I went to Croatia with my husband this November and Agrava was the first Croatian restaurant we went too. We were really excited about trying Croatian food as my husband n I are foodies. However, we were really disappointed. We had the ham and cheese appetiser with foccacia, the pasticada and the baked octopus as recommended by the server. The... More

One of my favourite restaurants in Zagreb, offering good wines (opened) and tasty food. Service is good, but maybe a bit too pushy.

Agava is a nice fine-dining Trattoria with an easy-access location in the center (Tkalciceva street) serving Italian and local specialties. It has a decent wine list with mostly local and intl selections. The waiter helped us a lot to arrange a table because we didn't make a reservation. I strongly recommend to taste "Fuži" which is a traditional Croatian pasta... More

OK, this is not a cheap place, but for what you pay you get excellent food and excellent and friendly service. The food is a selection of traditional Croatian and Italian and the wine list consists mainly of Croatian wines. The waiter was really helpful in choosing the wine. People commented that the place is visited by tourists as if... More

We visited Agava yesterday evening and after we finished our food, the waiter took our plates and never came back to ask if we would like to have a desert or anything else. In general, we were never asked if we needed anything else, or if everything was alright with our order. Once you're done with your main course, the... More

We were a group of around 8 people and everyone at the table was super impressed by their meal. Between the 8 of us, we all pretty much ordered something different and everyone was very happy with their choice which I guess shows how good the food here is. The staff were excellent, very helpful and guided those who were... More
