This is probably one of the Zagreb's finest restaurants. Very delicate dishes and great wines, all reasonably prices, but service could be a bit more friendly.

Although the location, set along one of the main tourist pedestrian streets, could put you off, don't let it. This attractive restaurant serves good quality food from an interesting and tempting menu selection. We had a shrimp and fresh asparagus risotto to start, trout fillets for mains and a shared cheese board to finish: all were enjoyable. The selection of... More

Agava is definitely THE BEST restaurant in Zagreb and the best experience that I have had in this city so far. Very good food, and excellent service... our waiter knew perfectly hot to advise us perfectly on the choice of wines and meals. Location of restaurant is perfect, and place in itself is beautiful as well. If you had to... More

We had a business dinner in Agava and it was excellent. The table was separated so we could discuss work over excellent food and wine. The service was really good, fluent in English and explained everything. The location of the restaurant is really nice.

Food was good but service was great. A very nice waiter helped us with the wine choice. We wanted to try a local one and we were surprised with the quality of croatian wine. The place is beautiful, location perfect. Prices are a little higher but worth considering mainly the service.

This restaurant, a few flights above the busy foot traffic of the ul. Tkalciceva is a real find for good solid Zagreb cuisine. The meats are very well prepared (note: this part of Europe loves aged beef which may or may not be to your taste. This restaurant is more to a Western taste) The dumplings were light and superb.... There is nothing we didn't like about this restaurant--had a great steak, fresh spinach and a lovely cabernet. We ate here twice and didn't have anything we didn't love.

The food here was quite good. Pasticada - quite nice, tender beef. Potato dumplings were a bit too chewy but thats probably down to personal preference. Tuna steak - cooked really well and had a lovely texture. The dressed it with asian inspired sauce and cous cous, overall a great dish. Fuzi pasta with truffle - Not a huge fan... More

The quality of the food was high, but the waiter who was serving us was not really friendly, maybe we were not their kind of standard elegant guests that they are used to have. The price was a bit too much for Zagreb, we spent 27 euros per person for 2 small starters shared in 3, 3 dishes of fish... More
