Description: "Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.

The diversity of food origin on the menu made me skeptic at first, but they do manage the fusion of diverse local cuisines very well. Discretely peeking into other people plates over the table made (which is not nice, I know) encouraged me to order duck breast with orange & sweet onion jam and Dauphinois potatoes as a main course.... A great place to eat. Good prices and a good selection of food... They are a sort o Italian~Croatian restaurant... I would suggest asking the staff for suggestions on what to eat and that way you will get to try some tradition food from the different parts of Croatia. Prices good! Staff friendly and up for a laugh!!

We stumbled across this gorgeous little restaurant whilst looking for a place for dinner, and I am so glad we stopped here. Wonderful staff who really made an effort to ensure we were happy. Some of the best service I have ever received. Food was lovely - felt very authentic and was reasonably priced. Great wine - especially the Croatian... More

I have been to this restaurant twice (March 2014 and August 2014). First time as it was cold we sat inside and expected normal service. They have a traditional old fashioned waiting service where an expert advised us on drinks and aperitifs with wide knowledge of wines which would complement the food we had ordered. Food and service was excellent.... More

After perusing the menus along this restaurant district, we were impressed with the selections for Agava and decided to try it. This was a very happy discovery. We were seated on the outdoor patio which is secluded from the street below and a garden-like setting. Our waiter Goran was a delight - providing us with information about the menu, the... More

I love the atmosphere & service at Agave. The staff is very helpful as to what food to order and the perfect wines to go with it. I ordered the steak. It was a tad tough but seasoned & cooked well. I loved their cheese tray. I will def go back.

Dined here with a group of friends. Since we were a large group without a reservation we were a bit concerned with getting a table but after a short wait we were seated in a comfortable, spacious area. The waiter was quite friendly and engaging. He suggested that we try a selection of appetizers that the group could share. We... More

Great food, with plenty of choice depending on your taste. My girlfriends risotto looked amazing and my fish was also very good. Went back the following night as we were convinced we had found something good, and were not disappointed. The tuna salad is not to be missed. Really good service from friendly people who were genuinely pleased to see... More

We had perfect lunch at this sophisticated, yet simple and cozy restaurant, with a great view over the pedestrian street. The staff was very qualified, but also extremely humouristic and helpful. Both starters and main courses were mouth wateringly delicious. No trouble finding wonderful options for a vegetarian either. And the recommended wines were perfect matches with the dishes. The...
