Description: "Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.

We passed by and were lucky enough to get a table as they were quite busy even on a Sunday night. The setting is very nice, especially on the terrace. The waiters were very friendly and attentive and recommended wine for each course which was delicious. The food was really tasty although the main didn't come with much accompaniment. We... More

Great food, wine, service, and value. We had an Istrian wine (a merlot from Vina Laguna, I think), an appetizer of skuta cheese, Pag cheese, pancetta, smoked ham, pumpkin oil, rocket, and olives, seared tuna with cous cous, and fuzi with black truffles - everything was delicious. If there's room, eat on the lovely canvas-covered patio overlooking Tkalčićeva Street.

I remember me and my partner had a very nice dinner there, with great food and atmosphere, for a reasonable cost, considering the location in the very centre of Zagreb :)

On our first night in Zagreb we had made a reservation here based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Our waiter walked us through the menu and made excellent recommendations for the whole meal - appetizers, wine, main dishes and dessert. His suggestions were spot on and the price was very reasonable. The tables are on a patio above... More

We had stumbled across this place but didn't fully check it out until we ran across a flyer with a bit more info. We booked for dinner. The food was fantastic, the wine was great. The menu for both food and wine have a good list of options. The severs were knowledgeable on the wine and provided an excellent option... More

What a lovely little gem! Hidden up a flight of steps, set back from the Main Street. We arrived with no booking without any problem. We were truly welcomed with our 3 year old daughter, the waiters amusing her and even bringing her toy monkey a birthday ice cream with a candle! (The small touches mean a lot). The food... More

Walking around in the area and trying to find a restaurant at night, we came across this one which has a menu in front. The price was reasonable, service was excellent and the food was good. We will go there if we have a chance to go to Zagreb again.

Arrived unbooked but was still fussed over and given a table. Menu fully explained and some recommendations too. Prosecco poured like he was a professional and proud of how be was dealing with the guests. The price was amazing in comparison to the UK and I would definitely recommend!! Everything was just perfect. Anyone moaning about this place must be... More

Recently had our first dinner in Zagreb here...service was very attentive, but we found our main dishes to be somewhat average, and portions modest for the price...also, suggest one "pass" on the upsell of "home made" focaccia...it was very ordinary and overpriced....on the plus side, the pasta with truffle starter was very pleasing...regret that our view is at odds with...
