Food very good, service very good, a little expensive. Nice inside and outside area. Initially white wine was warm.

If you want to eat nice meal in heart of Zagreb and have great service Agava is the place to go. I highly recommend it. View from their terrace is wonderful. I ate in Agava several times and one thing stands out and that is very professional service. Waiters are most helpful, they give this restaurant one notch higher. Food... More

Couldn't get a table on the terrace but were seated inside by the window which was still lovely. Menu was explained to us in detail. Service awesome. Ordered the focaccia for 2 as a starter which took a while to come but it was delicious once it finally did. Main courses were lovely. Serving were just the right size. Overall... More

We had a most enjoyable meal at Agave last night. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and accurate. Nothing was too much trouble. My wife who has a strict gluten free and no salt diet enjoyed her meal very much which is a great compliment to the chef. Located on Zagreb's busiest restaurant street, the ambience is great. We got a table... More

Beautiful restaurant overlooking Tkalciceva. At first they did not have room on the terrace so we sat on the street level but they were kind enough to move us once a better table was available. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Great wine recommendations too!

During our visit to Zagreb, we went to Agava restaurant and we loved it because it has a great location, great service and delicious food. Try the focaccia - absolutely recommended. There's also a great choice of wine and menu is not too long, but still it offers meat, fish or pasta - whatever you prefer at the moment... Oh,... More

Our waiter was great. We were seated along the street and my wife and I were more than happy with the food. It was delicious! Unlike many places, we were also told the house wine was a good choice and it too was great. We had 2 soups, bread, duck breast and steak for mains with a bottle of wine... More

Very briefly: This is not a restaurant for foodies. The Risotto was under cooked, the duck was overcooked and rough, and the rest was just ok. If you want an average meal, with great location and atmosphere, this is the place for you. If you want gourmet food, perhaps try Bistro Apetit.

This was a fantastic find that made our day in Zagreb special. The food was delicious and the service superb. It's a rarity these days to have a waiter who actually cares about your food choices and is knowledgeable about the wine to accompany the meal. The terrace is lovely and relaxing above the busy street. A memorable dining experience.

The food here is pretty good. The menu is not to extensive which is a good sign. It is solidly executed and portion size is adequate. Another bonus is the great location and view allowing for great people watching along Tkalca street.
