I chose this place for now particular reason except I wanted to grab a quick bite to each before catching my flight. I couldn't have been happier with my decision! The cafe had a well rounded menu of desserts, pasta, sandwiches, and other full size meals. I chose the Austrian sausage sandwich and it was great! It came on a... More

If you have a sweet tooth like myself, drop by this place for a typical Viennese coffee with whipped cream and some of their delicious cakes. Interior and atmosphere is cozy and nice!

We dropped in for a late dinner on a weekday and were the only guests; however, the staff raised to the occasion and made us feel welcome. The cafe itself reminds you of Vienna like a Disneyland castle - of a real one, but we mostly enjoy Disneyland, right? The food is really good and portions are generous, so plan... More

I can only speak of the drinks and service, as I didn't try the food in that cafe. Well, the drinks were ok and slighltly overpriced but the service leaves lots to be desired. Haughty waiters that "do you a favour" by serving you - maybe they would have been friendlier if we had ordered food and our bill was... More

Wien Cafe is in the center of Sofia, near the Alexander Nevski church and Saint Sofia church. First we hesitated a little to push the big doors of the cafe but I am happy we did because when you enter you step in another time and place. The two rooms, the main one on the left side and a smaller... More

This cafe is extraordinary for city like Sofia and it could be not everybody's cup of tea. Classical music creates this nostalgic atmoshpere which makes you stay. Do not miss it, especially the desserts, so you could have a genuine experience. Just pay a visit.

We loved this place when it was "Lucciano" and regretted that we could not visit during our previous stay in Sofia as it was rennovated. The result, however, is a nice, warm, elegant and very real Viennese cafè, which is so welcoming and comfortable. The tables outside are a "must' for the new smoking regulations and the nicely adjusted airconditioning... More

I travel to Sofia regularly and always make a point of visiting the Cafe Wien, which is a modern but old-fashioned Viennese style coffee shop, serving cakes, light meals, tea, coffee, etc right in the middle of the Bulgarian capital. The staff are smartly dressed, well-educated, speak good English and in short the service, surroundings, cuisine and prices are all... More
