Description: These is one of two same named restaurants, both in Sofia, Bulgaria. The old and gorgous Red House is situated at 33, Parchevich Str. If you are one of those curious travellers who prefer to walk through smaller, narrow streets, you will hardly miss Chervenata Kashta (the Red House). It is indisputably a big red house, which stands out from the rest of the houses and buildings around it. It is one of the oldest preserved houses in Sofia, recognized as a cultural monument. During summer the garden of the Red House is simply fantastic! Luckily the tables are big enough, because it will not be easy to pick one dish only! The food is delicious and the menu is very rich. The Red House serves also pizza baked in a charcoal oven and many vegetarian dishes. There is a good selection of fresh fish to choose from. Everyweek (from 8 pm on) you can enjoy the delicious meals of the house while listening to live music - very 'live' and very entertaining because the performers are passionate proffessionals in a different styles of music. The Red House really wants you to feel as relaxed as at home...And loves the little ones too! In fact they have a small 'children's restaurant' where the kids can play, draw and socialize.

Me and my friends have chosen this restaurant for dinner, because we wanted to watch the World Cup Final outside and needed a place with big TV and enough space for like 20 people to sit together. We got several tables at the second floor and TV was just infront, so we can't complain about this (there weren't any other... More

The food was really tasteless, all looks like a cheap tourist trap. The waiter seemed unfriendly, slow and tired. It took him always 10-15 minutes to bring what he was asked for. All in all one of the places to avoid. There are much better restaurants in Sofia.

On the third floor, after a very steep stairs there is a hall for families with small children. The game room for children next door. The restaurant offers a childminder (2 euro per hour) which is very convenient. Unfortunately, the room is small and 5 children are a problem anymore. The stairs are very steep and very difficult to climb... More

The waiter ordered for us, he recommended several very good dishes. To us, it was a perfect meal! We had aubergine salad, calamari salad, cheese bread, grilled beef (the best of Sofia) with grilled vegetables and saute green chilly peppers. The salads were sensational, nice cheese bread. The beef was perfectly cooked to our liking and the vegetables were fresh... More

This was my first visit. The restaurant has a nice garden, and this is all. We waited several hours to be served. The waiter made numerous mistakes bringing us different meals that we didn't order, spilled the wine. A lot of people just leaved the restaurant, being not able to wait. The food is nothing special, some kind of low... More

I go there quite often and believe the restaurant is great for casual dinner with friends. Food is tasty, service is fine. I definitely recommend all soups (especially the vegetables one) as well as the souffle. In general, I think it is good price for what you get. In the summer - the have tables outside and you can basically... More

I am a regular visitor and every time the service is excellent, as well as the food. The menu is diverse, and I especially like and recommend the bread bowl of meat balls or kebapcheta, which are wonderful!
