These is one of two same named restaurants, both in Sofia, Bulgaria. The old and gorgous Red House is situated at 33, Parchevich Str. If you are one of those curious travellers who prefer to walk through smaller, narrow streets, you will hardly miss Chervenata Kashta (the Red House). It is indisputably a big red house, which stands out from the rest of the houses and buildings around it. It is one of the oldest preserved houses in Sofia, recognized as a cultural monument. During summer the garden of the Red House is simply fantastic! Luckily the tables are big enough, because it will not be easy to pick one dish only! The food is delicious and the menu is very rich. The Red House serves also pizza baked in a charcoal oven and many vegetarian dishes. There is a good selection of fresh fish to choose from. Everyweek (from 8 pm on) you can enjoy the delicious meals of the house while listening to live music - very 'live' and very entertaining because the performers are passionate proffessionals in a different styles of music. The Red House really wants you to feel as relaxed as at home...And loves the little ones too! In fact they have a small 'children's restaurant' where the kids can play, draw and socialize.

Nice place, tasty food

We went there because it was near to our hotel and we happily surprised from the decor and afterwards from the food. We trusted the waiter and we ate very very well. Do not miss the beef stake with pepper sauce and the chips (French fries)

Nothing is special about this place. Food is good, prices are a bit steep. Prime location, but nothing else.

The Red House is a nice little "Ruby" right off the famous Vitosha Blvd. It is cozy and clean, reminds me of sitting in a Babushka's dinning room. The fried Bulgarian cheese was a good match with the classic Shopka salad, the order of bread was a pleasant surprise together with the scrambled eggs and roasted vegetables. The espresso topped... The place is very near to the main street in the center - Vistosha str. The food is good - I can reccomend the beef steak. I like the price for it too - it's near 20-23 leva.

We had an informal dinner with friends. We gathered at different time, cause some of us were there from the beginning and the other came late. We ate very good food, freshly prepared. There is a very nice garden, suitable for smokers. Warm and cozy, with style!

I like this place very much. The meal is very tasty. Compliments to the cheef. There is a big choise of dishes and drinks. Waiters are realy helpful. I agree some times they are slowly with some meals but this is because the meals are prepared at the time. If we are in a hurry we just take something from... More

We were with friends and we celebrated their anniversary. This restaurant had good image and in spite of the prices we visited it. But the gala dinner was not as we expected: - everything arrived very slow - the waiter disappeared for a long time and we didn't manage to order anything - the portions were small At the end...
