I dream of cevapi from Zeljo and Hodzic. Hodzic might be just a bit better, but I have not found them on tripadv. for review. Cannot wait to go back.

Cevapi is a Bosnian delicacy like Pizza to Italy. It is a "Gourmet Landmark" of Bosnia, so is Zeljo. Many many years it opened its doors and became a "cult". It can for sure wear the name as one of the best if not the best Cavapi in Sarajevo.

If you're looking for a place where you can sit for an hour and enjoy the food slowly, alone at your own table then you should probably skip this place. However the food is great, the meat is seasoned to perfection, the lepinja is nice and crusty, onions sweet and the kajmak lovely. We had two medium portions and two... More

The place is nice, the food is good and cheap, service fast. But that's about it. As it happens to be one of the Sarajevo landmarks it is very crowded inside, they put you on a one big table with people around you and not much space to eat, not to say about privacy. And yes, as soon as you... More

When I found this place, it was full so I didn't have a place to sit, I had to sit outside and it was pretty cold. They have the best cevapi with kajmak and onions in town. The price was acceptable.

Best Cevapcici in Sarajevo. So, what is a Cevapcici? It is what your cardiologist, your internist and your common sense tell you ‘is not good for you.’ A more constructive description is a collection of small sausages, probably beef, in a pita bread with side of chopped onions and special cheese. Unquestionably the most popular dish in Sarajevo and for... More

We were there in 2007 and now again in 2014 - nothing changed; they are still the best! Staff and food is amazing; if you are looking to try cavapi this is the place!

Very seldom do I ever express criticism or pessimism. However, there are annoyances that are deemed necessary to mention. In Sarajevo, Željo and čevapi are synonymous. I found the food to be simple, lackluster, and not reflective of the restaurant's high reputation; Concern - - the food was bland; Major concern - - the food was served cold after a... More
