Food was lovely although we had to wait quite a while for it. The food is made to order and is mainly vegetarian but also has fish dishes. Usually best to book a table. This was our third visit and will be back again!

As other reviewers have said, this small restaurant is run by one man who is both chef and waiter. He trained at Cordon Vert in the U.K. and clearly cares about the food he makes. He could do with some help though, as there is too much work for one person. He always asks if you've made a reservation, even... More

I've been at Karuzo for a dinner by myself. Actually the evening before I already tried with a friend but he didn't accept us. Just consider that you have to book if you want to be sure to enjoy Karuzo's food. Sasha manages everything by himself and when he attends 6/8 persons, he's already very busy. So far the experience... More

Thank you for a wonderful evening in this beautiful little Restaurant. My girlfriend is vegetarian and we had hard times to find something to eat besides Cevapcici on our whole trip - so the Karuzo was THE culinary highlight! Finally some excellent food, lovely prepared, the staff very nice. It was the highlight of our trip trough Bosnia an Croatia,... More

We have been in Karuzo twice. Once, in February, for a Valentine's Day and once in August. I am vegetarian and we do not smoke so we wanted to spend one evening in this restaurant after reading all this positive comments on trip advisor. First of all I appreciate the idea of running restaurant such unpopular as vegetarian and no... More

Adventure in culinary art, but you must make a reservation, if in person you will be remembered no need for names. Robinson Crusoe – a story of a one-man survival – this Karuzo is a story of one-man love of the art of dinning! This is not a place for people seeking quick meal; you must enjoy your stay with... I've eaten at over 20 restaurants in Sarajevo including some of the best/finest and this restaurant stands out the most to me. It's nothing less than fantastic. I feel I also should mention that they don't serve any kind of meat here for you meatlovers. But even my father who hates fish loved the fish here. I would recommend reserving... More

Karuzo is this hole in the wall restaurant manned by one man - the chef and owner Sasa Obucina. The inside of this tiny restaurant is pretty much a boat. Outside there are three tables. That's it! It sort of reminds me of hidden away, tiny, Tokyo restaurants. You simply have to know where it is, and even when you're... More

This is a fantastic place. We went there because we heard there were vegetarian options... and Sarajevo is a bit light on vegetarian options... We both eat fish so decided to try the sushi and we were not disappointed. It was fresh and of the highest quality. The owner really likes for you to make a reservation. If you arrive... More

Wonderful restaurant even for non vegetarians. Opens on Sundays in July/August but be prepared for a wait - his assistant does not works Sundays so he takes care alone. It is admirable how he serves all the food by himself whilst also cooking it. We tried to go back once more but unfortunately then it was fully booked. Come early... More
