The only place in town with a wide variety of vegetarian options, this place is very sweet and cosy with lots of atmosphere and the host is a fun character and very welcoming. The food tastes nicely homemade and wholesome, with good portions, although it does veer on the pricier side for Sarajevo. Sometimes you may wait a while for... More

A bit atypical because it is vegetarian and fish - no meat. But you won't miss the meat when you made to order meal arrives. If the John Dory is fresh, get it. In a word, fabulous! You will be rocked by the polenta with mushrooms - divine! The meticulous preparation shows and Sasha is the perfect host and chef!... More

Visited Karuso in 2006, but somehow missed that they had excellent vegetarian food on that occasion. My friend took me this time and I had some wonderful veggie chili (not so easy to come by amongst all the burek). Wonderful atmosphere and a chef that will cater to your every need (they specialize in fresh fish). Well worth a visit.

Huge portions of hearty food, amazing sushi, and the friendliest owner/chef you have ever met! Loved this place.

Very nice food and good selection of wines. Chef is great. In the center of town very close to other places.

When you arrive here you would not expect that you would eat so good! First of all: you don't eat here if you have not reserved. There are few tables and it is definitely better to reserve. Mr. Karuzo is such an incredible person..he seems unreal! We had 2 soups as appetizer: one with celery and pear (wonderful!) and another... More

Hey guys! I want to warn you about mr Sasha and his Karuzo "vegetarian" restaurant. This guy only idea to run a restaurant is: hey, we can cook from veggies as well. In Bosnia, and Sarayevo, where cevapi and pleskavica are main dishesh in 95% percent of restaurants and bars, that idea would be more then enough. There is only... More

Food was lovely although we had to wait quite a while for it. The food is made to order and is mainly vegetarian but also has fish dishes. Usually best to book a table. This was our third visit and will be back again!

As other reviewers have said, this small restaurant is run by one man who is both chef and waiter. He trained at Cordon Vert in the U.K. and clearly cares about the food he makes. He could do with some help though, as there is too much work for one person. He always asks if you've made a reservation, even... More

I've been at Karuzo for a dinner by myself. Actually the evening before I already tried with a friend but he didn't accept us. Just consider that you have to book if you want to be sure to enjoy Karuzo's food. Sasha manages everything by himself and when he attends 6/8 persons, he's already very busy. So far the experience... More
