My first visit to Sarajevo and my first meal. This small restaurant has real character, a good menu choice and good local produce, service was friendly and relaxed. Lovely fresh bread served with the starter with good sized portions. I had veal soup followed by veal with smoked beef and cheese, very good. I was very surprised how good the... More

Very tasty food for cheap prices in a nice cozy location. Would definitely recommend. The portions are huge and worth the money.

This was a fantastic find and consistent with all of the other reviews the food was excellent. Very hearty and full of flavour. This really is a little hole in the wall place and we loved the little courtyard feel. Went twice in 3 days!

Really enjoyed the atmoshere. Felt like in an old hut, very quiant and home-like. The dish I ordered ( and 4 of my friends) was Dveri Gulsh. Out of this world. Chunks of meat, with mushrooms, dried plums and gnocci in a delicious sauce. Unbelievably tasty.

In spite of having spent over two years in Sarajevo 1997-2000, I had never eaten in this restaurant before my visit at the end of June. Went there with a small party, and the warning, be careful how much bread you eat (it is great), you may not be able to manage your main course. Sound advice. A cosy restaurant,... More

We're unsure where to eat in Sarajevo so asked in the Tourist Information booth close by. The lady behind the counter walked us to Dveri. The setting in this establishment is quite spectacular. There is all sorts of things hanging from the walls, like a home from a fairy tale. The beef steak was just stunning with grilled vegetables. The... More

Lovely place, atmospheric travels you out of the city, really enjoyed the food, the bread is a really special, nice local beer and generous portions of food. I personally tried the pepper steak which was excellent, served with potatoes. The beer plate (cheese, salami and hot peppers) is also a must if you are looking only for a beer and... More

We had a very delightful lunch at Dveri. The home made bread is gorgeous and all the food was prepared with much care and attention. The setting is beautiful and cosy, decorated with flower pots and lots of lovely details. The owner also puts great care into selecting the wines - we had beautiful local one.

Everybody raves about the bread – indeed you cannot go to Dveri and not try at least the small portion (which can easily feed 4 people). It is not a typical bread, it looks more like a brioche and they serve it hot from their oven. To complement it: either ajvar, my preferred Bosnian specialty (puree of roasted red peppers... More

We had a lovely dinner here. The food was great: my bean and sausage stew was tasty, filling and with just the right amount of spice:-) The best thing was the bread which was straight from the oven and delicious. Our only problem was that there are no tables outside and smoking is allowed inside, as in many places in... More
