We learned of this restaurant in a travel guide. It was difficult for us to locate because we did not have an address to refer to and none were listed anywhere online so by the time we located this place, we felt like winners. The restaurant is located on Rue Titi’aivai off of Avenue du General de Gaulle; between the... More

after spending 18 days in the French Polynesia, and being spoiled by Paul Gaugin's wonderful food, we did not think we could top it....well, the chef at l'o a la Bouche DID IT. Not only the food was of top quality, the chef managed to prepare all of our meals ( 12 people ) at the same time. The food... More

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at the Intercontinental hotel. I am so glad he did, the chef is a magician, not only did he produce world class dinner he also managed to have the meals for 12 people all at the same time. This restaurant only needs the waiters to smile a bit more to be considered a... More

Very close to the cruise ship terminal and situated very well in Papeete. Food was ok but doesn't live up to the exalted reviews and expectations. No view.

Actually it is very difficult to find nice restaurant in Papeete but this restaurant always provides the high quality plates and with reasonable price!! So if you haven't decided to eat yet, you can go there!!!

We asked for a taxi driver some tips to lunch in Papeete, and she drived to L'o a la bouche. The appetizer (salmon terrine) was awesome, and main courses also. We order for the dessert of the day, wich was an chocolate pie with vanilla ice cream. Wonderful. The place is small, but very warmful.

Had the best meal ever at this restaurant. We ate here 10 years ago on our honeymoon and it was great then. Service is excellent and the food is packed full of flavor. Prices are what you would expect in Tahiti. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

very disappointed. was our last stop before heading back home and comparing all restaurants we have eaten on the whole Polynesia trip this was the one with the most boring food and highest price (and comparing to Bora Bora prices this is actually quite hard to achieve) the atmosphere feels very cold (light and floor) bad service too (and it... This place is around the block from the Cathedral and serves an absolutely delicious french meal. Go for the foie gras!

This is meant to be top quality French restaurant. The Mahi Mahi was great. But the sides were very average and the service was arrogant. Superficially friendly but we weren't convinced.
