Good food for the price.

Good food, never had a problem with service. Owners are very nice! Decor is out dated but that's what gives it it's charm. I think it's hard for a tourist to find this location. Located on a side street across the vaima shopping center.

Do not be afraid by this place which seem to be frozen in the past but delivers large portion of very good food. Prices are more than correct, quality is there, we are lacking the original boss who was a local figure and who passed away from a cancer a couple of years ago. Hopefully the whole family is there... We always stop here when we're in Tahiti (at least 6 times since 1986). My husband is a pizza lover, and this is where we had our first wood fire pizza. Back then, not too many places in the USA were doing it and it was love from then on. Mario has passed away, and his son is running the... More

Lou Pescadou has always been a good place to have a perfect pizza. unfortunately the owner passed away and his family took over the business and tried to recreate the ambiance of a little italian trattoria but failed. The food is OK, service is OK, not what it used to be. They should reinvet themselves and not try to do... More

Visited Lou Pescado few years ago but can say it's the best restaurant to dine in in Papeete. The pasta dishes are fantastic, my favorite is the Spagetti Carbonara and my husband always ordered their Lasagna....never tried their pizza but looked good. I remember that the waitress never wanted to take the tip, but we always insisted as the food... More

Unfortunately, the pizzaiolo makes awful pizzas. Too salted, no taste.

This is a great place for a good pizza and wood oven steak. It is one of the oldest restaurants in French Polynesia. Most(almost all) of the employees that work there have been there since the opening. They all seem grumpy, and don't care, don't take it personal they do it to everyone. They really do care, its just how... More

If you're spending more than just one night in Tahiti you must visit Lou Pescado's! It may be scruffy and in a back street but its full of charm and character and has great, simple Italian food. This is a fun restaurant, very casual and run by one of the great personalities of Papeete. If you're lucky, Mario - Lou... More
