Set in a historic house with lovely view this place serves a very good meal. We had scallops morney follwed by a steak. Very good. The service was very good too. Yet another must do on Rarotonga.

Lets be honest, seafood platters around the world look better on the menu than your table. Usually full of cheap fried food. Not here... Not a single fried item, not a chip to be seen, and it was so filling. The quality seemed excellent and fresh. Could have done without the squid but it wasn't bad at all. Relative to... More

Touted as one of the best restaurants on the island, we had booked dinner here before we even arrived, and Tamarind House didn't disappoint. Set in a beautiful old house in lovely gardens by the sea, the whole place had a distinctly colonial feel, with a localised-French-themed menu. As with everywhere on Rarotonga, there was plenty of seafood on the... More

We were over for a wedding in November and found this beautiful restaurant while riding around the island. The meal was divine. Have recommended it to friends who have and are going to Raro. We will definitely be going back To The Tamarind when we are back there in November

It was a lovely restaurant and the food was amazing, but the mozzies were relentless! Staff did light a few coils for us, but they didnt seem to make much difference. Such a shame that those pesky things dampened our dining experience! Otherwise, food is amazing!

The place is very nice, the view it's suggestive. The kitchen is really good and it's very difficult to find something better in the entire island. Great service and prices in line with the service offered. You need totry, definally!

Fantastic view and atmosphere! The piano playing in the background was a great touch. I had the Mahi Mahi local fish dish which was lovely. The chocolate pudding with soft runny centre was divine!
