We were looking for a late breakfast and found this gem. Just 200 metres clockwise from Trader Jack's in the Art Gallery complex. Hidden away, so look carefully. Good ambiance, lovely toastie and great espresso coffees.

Being somewhat of a self confessed coffee lover, i'm always on the search for a great coffee and love to try the local beans wherever I am in the world. I tried a different cafe everyday in Rarotonga and sadly only found The Cafe on the last day ... It was without a doubt the best coffee I had tried... More

As we got in late and didn't have a bike or vehicle we wandered along the road for a coffee, and decided to have a late breakfast...we had been here on our last visit and remembered it was wonderful food and great service. We wern't disappointed.

This little cafe is behind the Beachcomber Pearl Market. We saw the road side sign and ventured in. Being someone who does a lot of baking I am usually very disappointed when I opt for cake with a coffee. I had a delicious moist ...obviously home made slice of carrot cake. It was fairly quiet when we were there so... More

The counter service was fast enough....the food was ample enough....the sandwich was tasty enough....there was just enough view of the ocean. All together nice enough but there are better places to spend your money.

I heard great things about this place, but it was only average. The food and drinks were nice enough, but a long time coming. There was almost no sea view, and the chairs are uncomfortable.

We went for lunch. We all had lovely smoked Marlin dishes. They were excellent even if a little expensive. My companions had coffee as well. Good caffeine shot, but appeared to have been made with UHT milk rather than fresh milk (fresh is available). That undermined the coffee.

The service here was totally unacceptable. On our last day in Rarotonga, our family of 7 booked this cafe for 1pm. We ordered and after waiting for 45 minutes for our coffees and other cold drinks (lemon lime and bitters from a bottle) one of our group went up politely to ask how much longer it would be and pointed... If you are up for a big bold cup of caffine - this is the place, not for the faint of heart. Try a slice of carrot or chocolate cake it's the best. Away from the main shopping area, but well worth checking it out.

This excellent cafe is tucked into a historic Avarua building that also has good island souvenirs and an art gallery. It's a nice place to take a break and admire the sea views. The limited menu features various sandwiches and other goodies, all of them fresh and expertly prepared. This is a great place for a superb lunch or a... More
