Airport location is convenient

Within 1/2 block from airport, the restaurant is poolside and informal. Good place for a late meal prior to departure, or a convenient arrival hotel and restaurant.

What better way to spend some time than check in at the airport then head across the road for a great lunch with your final views of the lagoon!

Do yourself a favour and stop into The Islander for lunch. Excellent food and you can't go wrong with beers and spirits for $3.50. Our hostess RiRi was wonderful and made our lunch that much better.

This became our favourite place to eat and enjoy the half price drinks at the Hula Bar. We sat at the seaside outside area and enjoyed the view and on a stormy day we had a front seat as the waves crashed over the sea wall and the wind blew the kite surfers higher and higher. The food is first... More

The pizza crust is handmade, finally I've found someplace on the island that makes their own. The pizza was thin with adequate topping and cheese, my only complaint was I didn't care for the large tomatoes on the top, but otherwise it was acceptable. The waitress told us we couldn't order our own toppings, but had to chose off the... More

Kia Orana, Thank you for your comments. We are happy to read you enjoyed your pizza. We make our own herb-infused crust for all our pizzas; infact we make our own sour dough, focaccia, rolls and desserts. Kia Manuia. More

We popped in before our flight.Only got half our order in in the hour we waited, They were busy but over an hour for french fries and pizza is a tad off. Advantage in that is across the road from the airport and quite nice to go across once baggage has been checked. Need to arrive and order at least... More

Kia Orana, thank you for your review. The kitchen does experience delays when the restaurant is full, and the order of food production is based on a 'first docket in' basis. Our service team have been briefed to highlight 'flight' on orders for guests departing on flights to Auckland, so as to speed up food production. We apologise the delayed... More

I believe under this management this is the second year we have been going there. The pizza is excellent, the other mains all fantastic. I think they have really turned this place around! This trip we ate there I believe 4 times over 2 weeks. Great job!

8 people waited for lunch 1 and 1/4 hours, and received no food and no offer of a drink beyond that when we ordered. Staff, who were pleasant enough, made no obvious attempt to rectify the situation and we had to leave to catch a plane. Pathetic effort, no way to run a business, and a disappointing end to a... The Hula Bar probably has the cheapest drinks around. Awesome atmosphere. Family friendly. Food is good. Great place for families during the day, use the pool and have a feed. Great night spot also with the low bar prices. Outdoors is good so nice and cool especially with tropical weather. Not so good if it rains though.
