Try the dessert wontons

As we are warned and aware a lot of things don't open on Sunday including some of the restaurants not attached to resorts. After a couple of fails (common theme) we stumbled on this and it was great. My wife discovered the dessert wontons and there was no stopping from there. They were that good we... read more

The Aquarius is now called The Islander Hotel. It's right next to the airport in Rarotonga, and so it's a very convenient spot to eat just before your flight out of Rarotonga (many of the flights leave at 2-3am in the morning!). The food is delicious, well prepared, nicely presented, generously portioned and I always seek it out when I... More

This is a great place to go for a bite to eat, and to kill time, before your flight. The meat lovers' pizza was very good and you can't complain with a few nice, cold, Matutu Kiva ales. Despite having about 5 hours to kill between flights, the incredibly friendly servers allowed us to hang out by the pool, and... More

We have ate here in the past so thought we would give it a try again this past visit. I loved my Salt & Pepper Squid, I had that twice. We had a group of 7 the second time we ate here and everyone enjoyed their food. Service was really good and they do have a very good Happy Hour!... More

Tuesdays - island night at the islander. Awesome! Beautiful tasty food with a local theme! Loved the octopus and the pork - but something for everyone. Have lived here for five years now and it was the best island night meal i have had. Will be back for more!

I visited the Aquarius while waiting for a flight to Aitutaki after arriving from New Zealand late afternoon. We were a group of seven, including two young children and the bar is situated very close to the airport. The children immediately went to look for shells and to play round the pool. The beer was cold, the fish and chips... More

We had this place suggested to us as a place to go for dinner while waiting for early morning flight. There were barely any people there. Started off ok, then were happy for us to leave our bags at the entrance, drinks, menus, mains. Food was ok, nothing to rave about. The kitchen apparently closes at 9pm which was not... More

Probably the second best food on the Island! Narrowly beaten by Kikau Hut but excellent service and great value. Went for both lunch and dinner, on different days. Pizza was great, island fries were great, steak was epic and perfectly cooked.

We have two small children so it not always ideal to be off on adventures and in the sun at the beach. I stumbled on to this place looking for a Pizza (which they do well) but it was the awesome staff that made the place so more more enjoyable. A lady by the name of Dawn is worth every... More

We ended up here during a long layover. The restaurant is "almost" right across the street from the Raro airport, so we used the airport's rolling luggage carts and brought over our suitcases (taking the carts was permitted by the airport). The restaurant welcomed us warmly, asking us to bring our luggage in and have a seat anywhere and stay... More
