Wonderful food and abundant wine menu. Service impeccable. Been twice and will return next time I'm in Montevideo.

A cousin recommended to try them while on my short visit to that wonderful city and its people, she was right, food was very good, nice cozy but trendy ambiance, and service of course. now is my turn to recommend this place.

We had dinner at Cocina de Pedro on our short stop in Montevideo on our way to Buenos Aires. On a Monday evening at eight, we were welcomed very nicely even if, as hungry North-Americans, we tend to be the first to walk in restaurants in this part of the world. They were ready for us and everyone we got... More

The restaurant is modern and nicely decorated, the staff is well trained, and food is very good. Duo of solomillo and cordero was excellent, flan is really homemade, not too sweet, well balanced if you have it with dulce de leche. Also we had coffee as compliment of the house... incredibly good! Located just in the backyard of United Nation... More

It was a crowded Thursday night at the restaurant. The service was not the best of it. But then came the food and it was really good.

Our first night in Montevideo was spent at La Cocina de Pedro as a result of reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and we certainly were not disappointed. Our waiter did not speak English but he asked the wine lady to come and explain the menu to us. Her English was perfect and she was absolutely lovely! She suggested we start... More

We have found Cocina de Pedro through Foursquare and decided to risk. This place is great - we have been there 3 times in 2 months now. Always full of people, so maybe you have to wait around 20 minutes or less, but it's not a problem - they will serve you a free glass of champagne while you are... More

The staff greeted us at the door and were very helpful since we spoke little Spanish. The Sommelier is a young lady that speaks English well. She steered us toward a great Syrah at only $12 a bottle. The wine was outstanding. The waiter did not allow us to over order, confirmed the order with the wine steward so he got... More

It is in a walking distance from Ibis and this is why we ended up there and had a great surprise. Vibrant restaurant, where the locals go. I had lamb with grilled vegetables and a Uruguain Tannat whine. Service very good and friendly. I would love to go back.
