The place is nice,as well as the food, but i cant say its the best!esp that night they seemed tl run out of many things, like wine or salsa, which was a bit annoying!but in general-pretty decent!

You can check the kitchen any time since it is all open...we watched a World Cup soccer game there. The atmosphere was great so was the meat! The provolone cheese and the wine that the waiter suggested was also great.

Everytime a foreign friend comes to Uruguay I take them here. First time I went there by mistake, because all restaurants nearby were closing, and so were them... but they let us in, sit by the bar in front of the parrilla and even go to the otherside to pick our meat and take photos! Amazing! Great price and very... More

We were only in Montevideo for a couple of nights, and we ate at two parrillas - La Otra, and Tintos Y Rubios a block or two away. On balance, La Otra came out on top. The food in each was excellent, superb steak and good wine, but marginally better in La Otra. There's also a great atmosphere, very welcoming... More

We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. The beef was delicious and the salads were scrumptious. Wash it all down with some awesome Tannat and you are good to go! English menus are available.

The atmosphere, the vibe, the attentive waitstaff and delicious food. Steaks cooked to perfection. Sit at the bar and interact with the chef...lots of fun. Very popular but lots of seating outside.

La Otra is an attractive restaurant in the pleasant neighborhood of Pocitos. There are tables outside if you want to enjoy the night breeze. The interior is nice, definitely has some style. Prices are fair and the parrilla is great. Our experience was severely hindered by a long wait. The entrees came fast and the waiter, who was a nice... More

Good steak and wine but forgetful and slow service - no water, no knives then 2 lots of bread! Sat outside, worth a visit - seems popular with the locals - Oh for English mustard!!

I went early to avoid the rush and found the restaurant to be pleasantly cozy but overall a bit dark for my liking. I ordered the rib eye steak on the recommendation of the waiter and was disappointed in the quality - undercooked in some parts with too much fat and gristle. The accessories were all good, the bread warm... More
