We took "Meal for two", which included burrito, two enchilladas, two tacos and two beverages. Whole set cost only 500 U$, and taste was really good and spicy, at least compared to what you useally get in Uruguay. They even had wide range of chilisauces available. Would recommend and they even have delivery service.

Located on the Sarandi, where the people watching is just great. This is a place if you are jonesing for something Mexican. Or you are in the Plaza area and want something diffierent. Tuesday, the sidewalk is full of local vendors selling their wares. It is a short walk from the Port and sees a lot of Cruise liner people.... More

I read this place was American owned and I know it's best to support locally owned places when travelling but....I gave in. This was a refreshing and much welcomed change of flavours and food while travelling in Uruguay and Argentina. One harty burito was more than enough for dinner so it works out to being a cheap night out. It's... More

It's not spicy like real Mexican food (no jalapenos), but delicious and priced right. Service was friendly, they accepted Gringo Deniro, and located on the tourist street Av. Sarandi

Mainly I would recommend this place if you want a burrito in Montevideo, as that's a hard thing to find. Nothing spectacular but nothing wrong with it either. Just one of those things you have to have from time to time.

The California Burrito Co took a big risk coming to Uruguay. The locals don´t like spicy food, so all the food served up here is generally quite bland. It´s great that we now have this place to go to, probably the only restaurant in the old city where you can get spicy food and food to go. There are a... More

I walked by with a bit of a chuckle and Winfred why anyone would even try this restaurant? Well, a week later, I found out. After eating at many of Montevideo's finest, I wanted something different and something fast. Conceivably, my only option was CBC. Sheepishly, I entered. The food was fast, tasty and so much better than expected, I... More

By way of background, we are Texans who happen to live in Montevideo. We of course, miss Tex-Mex. CBC (California Burrito Company) is a super easy, fun & enjoyable option for a quick fix: CBC's food is super tasty, entirely customizable, made to order, fresh, and the folks who work behind the counter couldn't be any nicer. To be clear,... More
