Why walk any further?

I stay at the Sheriton often. And It seems that all too often, those I travel with want to walk a great distance to find a good place to eat. There are many to choose from in Montevideo, but few better then La Perdiz! The food is consistently delicious, and the service staff is friendly and... read more

Traditional, serious, and friendly restaurant. The restaurant is always full, I was lucky enough to find a place at the bar without reservation. The sweetbreads and picanha were delicious, accompanied with a nice glass of tannat. Definitely will go back when in Montevideo.

I actually ate here twice, once for dinner in a group and once for lunch alone. The food is very expensive and the steaks they serve are really not very remarkable ( both the meat and how they are cooked)! I am staying in a hotel overlooking the restaurant now, it is full as always but I have no idea... More

We were in Montevideo for only one night and stayed in a hotel Pocitos. Checking on TripAdvisor we found that La Perdiz had a good reputation and decided to go for it. Nothing to regret! We followed some recommendations regarding the "bondiola con sala de ciruela" (roasted pork meat with a plum sauce) and didn't regret it either. Thanks "sorgud"... More

Just one block from the Cala di Volpe hotel is La Perdiz. We were seated upstairs (party of 8) and from start to finish were treated wonderfully. Our waitress spent time explaining the various dishes and provided us with wine recommendations. Service was efficient and friendly and we were even given a complimentary bottle of cava at the end of... More

We happened upon La Perdiz as we were walking around looking for somewhere to eat dinner. We specifically wanted to eat at a parrilla so this place looked like it would be great. We walked over to this area from our hotel on the west side of Pocitos. It was busy but we were seated right away (just my wife... More

Tradional Uruguayan food, very good serving size, and good service. Every meal on the menu is very good and you can expect it to be similar evey time. I have been going for years and the menu stays the same, which is great since you know what to expect from each dish, but they also add the "day's specials" consisting... More

It has a barbecue, but you can also find pastas, fishes. There are meats with fancy sauces, for example: "bondiola con sala de ciruela" (roasted pork meat with a plum sauce). It is better to make a reservation, the place is big, but always crowded. The desserts are also very good, the wine list is very good.
