I love this place

Do not hesitate to try "merluza negra" (black hake), don't worry it's not dark fish, it is the tastiest fish in the southern atlantic!

La Perdiz is our favorite restaurant in Punta Carretas, an area of choice for those who are looking for up market eateries at reasonable prices with reliable quality. We have enjoyed many a lazy lunch dining outside during the warmer months or equally satisfied with the friendly ambience offered inside. Table spacing is good and acoustics are kind that conversation... More

I was in Montevideo for business and was recommended to eat at La Perdiz by the Sheraton. The ambiance, food and service are all very good so I ended up going here twice in my trip. Also, the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I liked the fact that you can get half-orders of certain items so you... More

You have to make reservation, maybe the previous day, or by noon if you intend to go for dinner. Nice place, very warm light, perhaps too many people for my taste. It's a fashion spot and is near the Sheraton and the shore (not ON the shore, nor the seaside), and Punta Carretas is where many of the best place... More

We waited till near the end of our trip to try La Perdiz believing that all the hype was worth the wait. Sooo disappointed. We spared no expense in ordering. The salad arrived that was very nice. Then the startes, one was wrong I had ordered veal kidneys thinking that they would be the ones to do it correctly. First... More

Excellentt relation between price and food+service. Great ambience, very nice attentive service, and excellent food, make this classic restaurant one of the few best in town. Always crowded, its good to make reservations or wait at the bar if you have time.... The dishes vary between meat, pasta, fish, local and international, all of them very good, tasty and at... More

Stayed in Montevideo at the Sheraton for 4 nights on business. I was recommended this restaurant by the hotel which is just a couple of minutes walk. I enjoyed the first night so much I went back the next night. Both nights were very busy mid week which is a testament as to how good the food is. The atmosphere... More

Very good restaurant, very good food in a safe and pleasant place. A short wall from the sea and the biggest shopping center in Montevideo. The attention is ver good and the wine list is extensive and very tasteful. At night should book before you go because normally is complete. Anyone who travels to Montevideo I recommend dinner one night... More

I stay at the Sheriton often. And It seems that all too often, those I travel with want to walk a great distance to find a good place to eat. There are many to choose from in Montevideo, but few better then La Perdiz! The food is consistently delicious, and the service staff is friendly and respectful. It's always a... More
