Fresh, Inventive, and a Fabulous Fixed Menu Price

We would have eaten here again if we'd stayed longer in Montevideo. The food was wonderful. We opted for the three-course, fixed-menu which is a great deal at 500 pesos uruguayos. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly. My friend's chicken was juicy and delicious and I typically hate chicken. Very... read more

We liked a lot the main dishes, from the regular menu, but the dishes we ordered from the executive (city) menu was nothing special. Everything was just fine until we ordered the dessert. Creme brulee was disappointing, like mousse au chocolat or pudding (maybe someone likes it...), and browny was hard as a rock! Anyway, the place is very pleasant,... More

We were meeting a new friend for the first time for lunch. We presented her with descriptions of eight well-commended restaurants in Ciudad Vieja. She chose Dueto. We made a reservation. That was handled well. We were looking forward to a "great fixed price lunch". It wasn´t. The initial offering was a small basket (we were four) of bread bits... More

My husband and I liked this restaurant so much that we ate there twice in our short stay in Montevideo. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The food was creative and very tasty. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. A husband and wife own the restaurant and the husband is the chef while the wife runs the front of the... More

Minor customer service issues occur from time to time at all restaurants. They are easily resolved and your evening and dinner become a wonderful experience. THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES! We are always quick to review great experiences at restaurants as we always refer to reviews by other patrons prior to making a reservation. We have dined at... More

Great food, reasonably sized portions in a very attractive setting. This new-comer in Ciudad Vieja is getting a lot of buzz. Food is a fusion of traditional Uruguayan cooking with international dishes. Fixed price dinner is also available, but is a bit pricier. English menu available

I asked for the fish and my boyfriend the raviole, both were REALLY REALLY good. The servise was perfect too and the restaurant is cute.

Having been in Argentina for the past week, we were looking for something other than steak, which can be a challenge in Uruguay. Not only did this boutique restaurant in Ciudad Vieja offer fish and chicken options, they were fresh and tasty, and prepared with imagination. The wine/drinks list featured mostly Uruguayan wines, but had the benefit of a wide... More

My sirloin topped with bernaise sauce was exquisite. You can't go wrong ordering a steak in this country.

Good food, but it is microwave heated, at least my and my colleague's lasagna. When first served it was cold in the middle. They heated it more and gave a slight discount but it left us with a less than ideal experience at an otherwise nice restaurant with friendly staff and cosy interior.
