I arrived early and the place was empty. I ordered a shrimp, medium size, which tasted good...but they did not take the "booboo" out...I also ordered a foie gras, which I liked very much even through the egg that came together was a bit cold. Service was great!

Warm ambiance, nice service, and outstanding food. We never went for dinner (too pricey), but went several times for lunch. The prix fixe includes bread, appetizer, main, and mineral water -- a very good deal considering the high quality. The octopus appetizer was the single best bite of food I had in Montevideo. Nice location in Ciudad Vieja.

An excellent choice for dinner. We tried a starter and two main dishes, and all were rather excellent. Couvert is expensive, at 90 Pesos. On the day we visited, a Thursday, the restaurant only opened at 8pm, which made us think, at 7:30, as no opening times were posted, that the restaurant was closed.

Conveniently located in the old city this little restaurant provided a good meal at a good price and with a nice ambience Don't plan to go before 8:00 p.m. which is when it opens.

Our last evening in Montevideo......after having been quite disappointed by the restaurant food we had been served up to this point, we were immensely delighted by the care, the passion and the originality of the restaurants owners who were cooking and serving. These people love what they are doing and this is reflected in the taste of the food and... More

Both the appetizer and dessert were really good, but the main course (a daily special of local fish) was disappointingly bland. But a nice room with friendly service.

If you don't mind Latin American service (none) the food here is definitely worth waiting for. Possibly the worst located restaurant of worth in history but don't let this stop you from coming if you enjoy good food. Restaurant has a nice ambience but if you don't speak Spanish the staff stay as far away as possible.

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Dueton. It was a quiet night, but the waitress balanced being attentive but not rushing us. We had a seafood pasta and the fish of the day. Both were well prepared and reasonably priced. Their menu of local wines was also impressive. The highlight of the meal was the chocolate spoon and dulce de... More

Dueto is a place I had the honor of discovering thanks to a great friend who recently passed away. Since then, I always try to make myself the time to visit this gem in Policía Vieja street. The variety of dishes is chosen with much care, and every single meal you taste is perfectly balanced. The fish, the meat, the... More

Dueto is a small, charming and lovely restaurant in the Old City part of Montevideo. We had a window seat with a view of an old architecturally interesting building across the street - it felt like parts of Madrid. The food was wonderfully prepared - beef marinated in wine in one case and large grilled prawns which they call langostinos... More
