We went for lunch twice as a group. Service was attentive though slow. Food was delicious and varied, from appetizer of "chorizos" (sausages) to entrees of risotto, steak, veal or fish, all generous portions. They also serve freshly baked bread and garlic toast with two spreads: pate or humus. Terrific deserts as well. Good wine selection.

The best restaurant in town. The most fine food, with the perfect climate not only for business, but also for family and couples and friends meetings. A wide rage carte, with seafood, meats, sushis, pasta and sweet delights. The place is very comfortable and the staff very kind.

We ate a plate of meat for two that was only average, the other plate was lamb also very average. Attention was excellent however. Bread not adequate for meat.

I have gone to Francis many times before . In previous cases have had problems with the assignment of the place to eat. In general I am derived to a not so good place but in this opportunity I was sent to the worst one, even though I allways make reservations.. On the other hand we where not carefully attended... Everything is good in Francis: the food, the place and the attention. Definitely a must visit. Better to make reservations, as lots of people go.

What a great dining experience we had at Francis. From the appetizers to the main courses everything was done very well. The restaurant ambience is something to be mentioned as well as the good and friendly service.

The best meal of my recent trip to Uruguay, not a single bad thing to mention. Friendly and fast service, amazing and delicious food. The owner himself receives you at the door and runs the operation. Try to book a table in advance. I went to dine on a monday and it was full (I didn't have a reservation, but... More

We are staying in the Pocitos area of Montevideo and just a quick walk from Dazzler Hotel is Restaurant Francis! Our server, Ines was delightful and helped us manuver the menu. We had such an amazingly delicious dinner and chose a great Uruguayan wine to accompany. Francis is very special and a definite when visiting Montevideo.

Our friends couldn't recomend more this restaurant, but IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN URUGUAY! We basically waited over 1h30min for our orders and when they finally came, it was cold. The lamb was chewy and bland and the fish smelled bad. It may have been an ill luck night for us, but we definitely wont be trying it again.... More
