Not sure about the definition of sushi food for Francis, other than a few seafood offerings, but I'd rather describ it as a fusion of modern Mediterranean cuisine with South American touches. If one goes the red meat route (more high end with elaborate flavors than the more traditional and abundant meat parrillada feasts), it calls for a famous Uruguayan... More

My husband had great steak, I enjoyed the pasta, good wine, cubierto a bit expensive for what you eat, but not that bad. Good atmosphere. We didn't have reservation and the restaurant was full but fortunately we had a place. The sommelier was not so friendly but made a good suggestion. We recommend for couples.

Though I understand the beef is very good here, we needed a break from the red meat. We had a nice salad which had palmitos (heart of palm). The food was very fresh and service was good. However, I'm not sure that salad, calamari, squid rings, 12 pieces of sashimi and three glasses of wine is worth 125 USD. The... More

This is a very well regarded restaurant with a great food. However a "U$330 (approx. US$14) cuberito" which is in essence a cover charge for bread is a bit rich for my blood. The fame may allow this establishment to charge this type of coverage charge but I don't particularly like to be taken advantage of. Good food and service,... More

My daughter and I had dinner at this restaurant and it was lovely. The food was excellent and the service charming. They accommodated us speaking English in a very sweet way. Make reservations, take a cab and enjoy dinner.

We were there for the New Year dinner which was great. Food was good quality and great taste. Wines and Sparkling wines chosen were very good. The only place in Montevideu I fond the service to be really good.

We were a group of friends that had dinner here for New Year's Eve, and it was one of the best restaurant experiences ever. For this special evening they only had a fixed set menu, but every course was absolutely gorgeous. We were a rather large group, but they still made sure we all got food at the same time,... More

This is an absolute must for anyone staying in Montevideo. The food was an absolute delight and was complimented nicely with a matching wine. The staff are very friendly and were a big help with choosing the best wines for our lamb. This is a pricey restaurant but it's most definitely worth it.

Extremely friendly staff, very nice ambiance, great beer and amazing dishes. We had some salmon niguiris as starters, and they just tasted marvelous. A Paella & Pacific Salmon with risotto was our main course choice, and it was great as well. A must go for travelers who are willing to pay reasonable price for great food and service.
