Very good food. The octopussy is marvellous. The meat too. It is a tipical place to have lunch during the week, and you could have a lot of fun on .saturdays. It is noisy and crowded, but you would enjoy it. You could go with kits but take care of them.

We booked a hotel nearby and had no idea where to eat that night. The hotel bellman walked us to this gem which is actually owned by the same owner as the hotel. E; Palenque is located in the old market by the harbor. A beautiful 1920 architectural secret. The restaurant has a great patio and a counter inside the... More

went back to this restaurant today, and made a mistake to order paella instead of their wonderful Parilla beef. I guess it is a good idea to stick with beef in a place which is famous for beef. The paella was so so. The beer was flat. when i complained the water shook the bottle with his thumb over the... More

An excellent place to have a good uruguayan barbecue. But it's a very expensive experience. Watch the steaks being prepared in front of you is very interesting, the chorizo is definitely worth it!

One of Montevideo's premier attractions - a must do if you are to experience Montevideo on a Saturday afternoon. But be careful!! It is one of Montevideo's better tourist traps, and as such one needs to be very careful. The service staff are excellent - no criticism. The food, generally good, but be careful with the kitchen. We recently ate... More

The waiter was awesome and suggested that we share a steak (good idea). We sat outside on a lovely day but the indoor part had a lot of ambiance as well. I got flan with mango and passion fruit sauce that was good, but way too sweet! This is a well known restaurant and worth the price!

When you visit the Mercado del Puerto If will be dificult to determine where you are going to eat. As there are multiple places, well i amgoing to make it easy for you. The "Braza" is excellent not only the meat but also the fish. Sitting can be inside as well as outside or in front of the Parrilla. The Sangria... More

After the disappointment in a restaurant nearby, we came here not once, but three times during that week; I think it says it all! Excellent food & wines and, despite the number of guest to be served, Attentive Service was there at all time!!! The best, Daniel; Pleasant, Dedicated, Professional (attentive to details); only the first day I had to... More

There are multiple parillas near the Mercado del Puerto; I only ate at this one. The atmosphere is nice, with indoor and outdoor tables and seating at the counter by the fire cooking the meat. I had no complaint with the food, but there were attempts to pad my tab. I declined the couvert, but the waiter left it on... More
