The place is really friendly and very comfortable. They used woods and pastel colors. The pasta is the principal food and is really good and enjoyable. I went alone, coworkers, friends and family, and always the rate was 8-9/10. Enjoy !!!!

Ruffino was suggested to us by a native Of Montivideo. We were not disappointed. Although the decor looks like a parody of an Italian restaurant from the 1950s, the food and the service more than make up for it. The pleasant, efficient wait staff took good care of our needs. I had a crispy thin crust pizza which is hard... More

Nice, small restaurant with great pizza. Had lunch on a Monday and the place was packed. Service was fair. A variety of wood fired pizzas that are very good.

Family dinner where I've enjoyed barbecued meat, wife had fish, kids pizza and pasta. We shared plates as it all was superb. A great restaurant, not cheap but no expensive, huge plates, great, attentive service. We went a few times and quality was consistent. It was very good all the time.

We've been in Montevideo for the better part of four months, and we've eaten at a lot of different places. We decided to start working our way down the trip advisor list and we were absolutely stunned this place is in the top 150. The food tasted like it was from a Cisco truck in the US, the service was... More

Understaffed today so service was a little less than expected, but overall a very good experience. Price is reasonable.

There was nothing bad about our experience at Ruffino but we just weren't too impressed. One standout was the antipasto plate we shared as an appetizer. It was a fantastic and delicious selection of meats, seafood, cheeses and other tasty bits. Otherwise the food was pretty average. I had a chicken entree that was fine but when I ordered it... More

This small Italian eatery offers great pastas and pizzas. The prices are average for Uruguay. The service was prompt and excellent, every request was met and reponded to immediatly. There seemed to be an abundance of "secondary" service staff that tended to everyones needs. The atomosphere is "homey". I had Sphagetti Bolonesa which was very meaty and although I thought... More

Close to hotel Embajador. I had a good pizza and bottle of wine. Good service and decent wine list. Nice atmosphere and I would return.

I've tried to give Ruffino's a chance about three times and each time the food disappoints. Recently took a friend there for dinner. The bottle of Tannato they suggested was excellent and affordable. My friend ordered the wok dish which she said was average. I ordered the salmon sorrentino dish which was ok, but too salty. As others have said,... More
