Would have never expected the great experience we were going to go through. As you enter the restaurant, you find yourself in an enclosed yard which is totally different than what you expect. Great atmosphere yet rustic! Food and service seems to be a trademark. In fact, when we were done, we were offered home made marmalade (for a price)... More

Food was pretty good, but I was expecting better given the reviews. I just wasn't wowed. And the portions seemed a bit small for several of our orders. Oh, and one of our party ended up with food poisoning which most likely occurred here (thus minus one star).

Hands down, the best restaurant in the Sacred Valley. We ate here twice, once for lunch and another for dinner. We had the mushroom risotto, the trout and the beef for our main dish for dinner, and the alpaca and another beef dish for lunch. Everything was super delicious! Definitely recommend this place - it is a short walk from... More

We read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor and in Lonely Planet, and decided to walk the half-hour plus from our hotel Sol y Luna to the restaurant. It was well-worth the walk. The food, the drinks, and the dessert were all excellent! We had the prosciutto pear appetizer (amazing) and the alpaca and trout for dinner (both excellent). Dessert... More

This was certainly the best meal of the entire 10 day trip to Peru. If you are in Urubamba you should make your way here for dinner.

This is probably the most famous place in town and reservations are certainly recommended because it’s so popular. We ended up eating at a low table with a built in banquet in their small bar area and had great service. The food here is modern Peruvian with a European flair. When we ordered a cocktail and a bottle of wine,... More

Tucked away on a side street in Urubamba, El Huacatay did not disappoint. We ate inside but the courtyard provided more atmosphere. What the indoor decor lacked, the food made up for it in the the fresh local ingredients and unique flavor combinations. We started the meal with prosciutto rolls (filled with fresh greens, pears and goat cheese). The grilled... More

An excellent restaurant with good food and wonderful service - like most restaurants in the region, all food has wheat and cheese / butter but the team worked really well to find an alternative for my wife - great atmosphere and reasonable prices.
