Amazing Food and Awesome Vibe

This was a truly great spot. Very atypical for Peru though, I have to say, meaning the vibe was different, the food was not typical Peruvian, etc. But that's not a bad thing! Different is good especially when you're eating Peruvian food all day every day for a year. I loved the food here and the... read more

My wife and I have eaten here twice - and are planning on eating here again tomorrow. I can't say we've sampled the whole menu, but she's had the soup which was delicious, and I've had the salad bowl twice. We were really needing some good food with fresh vegetables and stopped in here. We left satisfied. The baked goods... More

I had several meals here and was very satisfied with the quantity and quality of the food. The soup came with a basket of delicious croutons, which I devoured. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I especially liked the baked goods and drifted by to pick some up quite a few times.

Found this quaint little place for a late afternoon coffee whilst exploring this little town. Once again like my other coffee shop reviews the cakes are to die for. Another little gem of a place.

A couple of years ago I visited this restaurant when I was in town for the solstice. We actually ate there twice on our visit. The set menu was such a value--fresh, sufficiently served and with a to-die-for brownie that we took to-go because we were so full from the soup and entree. When I visited again in December it... What a lovely mellow place this is!!! Had a lovely ginger carrots soup, with a bacon, lettuce and tomatoes sandwich, enriched with delicious guacamole; absolutely yummy!!! A great local beer and warm hospitality on top. Salad mix (tabbouleh, chicken and avocado) was excellent too. So: indulge at very mild prices!!

We stopped in for a light snack and I wish we would have been hungrier. The menu had an assortment of creative sandwiches, salads and desserts. We tried the grilled cheese and apple sandwich with zucchini chutney and it was excellent. Cafe con leche was perfect--with just the right amount of frothy steamed milk. All with a fantastic view of... More

We went to La Esquina as recommended to us by our hotel. Located right on the corner (hence its name) in the plaza, La Esquina is a great cafe to have lunch, sit outside, and people watch. The best thing about this place is the salad option… choose up to 3 mixed salads (ranging from chicken salad, rainbow salad, quinoa... More

We arrived by van early evening and wanted a light meal - the falafel listing on the menu looked appealing, but the owner advised it would be available the next day. So we selected a hummus sandwich and a fajita plate to share. So fresh and tasty! Best of all, the owner was able to spend a bit of time... More
