A special experience

This is the best restaurant in the Ollantay area, specializing in creative interpretations of regional dishes using organic, local foods. It's a bit more expensive, but well worth it.

The food is absolutely wonderful at this restaurant. They take full advantage of the organic farm and the lovely setting of the hotel/restaurant that has been serving visitors to Machu Picchu since the 1920s. Everyone in our family thoroughly enjoyed the meals we ate here.

This restaurant is part of the El Albergue hotel, and located on the train platform. The quality of the ingredients, sourced from their own organic farm, is outstanding. There is an exceptional level of detail in every facet of the experience, from service, to presentation, to flavor. They offer a wonderful selection of wine and craft beer as well. Having... More

We were staying at the hotel of which the restaurant is part. Meals, ambiance and overall feeling fantastic. We staye 3 nights and much against our usual style only dined here. Everything was excellent. Food delicious, quality excellent and service friendly and responsive. After 3 nights still had more to try. Will need to come back. The harpist playing and... More

I had 2 dinners here and both were outstanding. The portions were just the right size and food was very flavorful. The servers, especially Miguel, took care of every need. The manager, Mario, also made sure that everything was perfect. Will definitely eat here again next time I am in town. The lamb was my favorite.

Everything is freshly cooked, most of the vegetables are grown on their own eco-friendly organic farm, and the staff are lovely. Make the effort to walk down to El Albergue from the town - it's worth it.

The title says it all. I ate the sirloin steak with moyyo peppers and had a slice of pie, both of which were phenomenal. The Chef visited each table individually to inquire about the food and service and even offered us a peg of "Matacuy", a local drink to finish off the meal.

This is my second time eating at this restaurant and it doesn't disappoint. We were a large group and the service was excellent and very quick. I ordered the lamb with risotto and it was very good. The lamb was cooked perfectly. The risotto was interesting as it was made with quinoa vs. arborio rice. A nice Peruvian twist to... More

The dinner and lunches were absolutely faultless and well worth every Nuevo Sole. Try the Alpaca fillet. And of course, breakfasts come out of the same kitchen.
