This restaurant is a gem. It is located at the train station. The food, service and drinks was the best we had in Peru at a reasonable price. Not the cheapest but also not that expensive. It was crowded so make reservations before you go for dinner.

Probably the best restaurant in town although service was a bit slow. Very convenient though because it is located rght in the hotel.

Start with a refreshing, delicious chicha morada. Salads are tasty and VERY fresh. Chicken appetizers are simple. If you want something warm, filling and healthy, get the Chupe de Verdura - you will be surprised how good it is. I had it 3 times while I stayed at Albergue.

We stayed at the hotel, this restaurant was most convenient, however we soon found out that this was also the best restaurant in town. The ambiance is wonderful as it's at the train station and you can watch the beautiful Perurail trains leaving/arriving from Machu Picchu while you enjoy dinner. Much of the food is sourced from hotel farm. Meals... More

I spent perhaps too much time in Ollantaytambo indulging in chilcanos at El Albergue. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic in this beautiful establishment. The manager Christian was wonderful and accommodating. I highly recommend it.

Food was average ; we only went there in the lack of other choices in town. The only other place we thought was better than this place was hearts cafe. The service was very bad. They don't seat you they don't bring you menu for 20-30 minutes. What you can do is, if you still want to eat there, or... More

You wouldn't expect such high caliber food to come out of a restaurant attached to a train station but this place really is AMAZING! The service, menu, drinks and food were all delicious and I loved that 90% of the vegetables come from the organic farm just a stones throw from the restaurant. Don't miss the quinoa salad!

Organic, delicious, classy. We had the best quinoa soup in Peru here... that should say everything. Got the box lunch while visiting Peru. It is huge. 3 of us could finish only 2 box lunches. Try Alapaca steak for dinner and tacu tacu for breakfast.

If you haven't been to the train station in Ollantaytambo this place is a little tricky to find. It sits right next to the train platform. Security will let you through if you don't have a train ticket--just tell them you are going there for dinner. The food is outstanding. EVERYTHING is homemade and many of the ingredients are harvested... More
