Not cheap, but decent portions and tasty.

We had a nice coffee on the sidewalk in the afternoon and later returned for dinner. The food was excellent and freshly made. The staff were very friendly and we communicated in broken English and Spanish - laughing and helping each other.

This place was recommended and it was conveniently located right on the square. We had an early dinner one evening. Very few people eating at this time, the waiter was pleasant and helpful as we ordered. Didn't see him after our food arrived. Our group shared pizza-which took a good while to arrive-but they were good. Cannot make comments on... More

Our host at the Ollantaytambo Lodge recommended the Panaka Griil to us for a late evening dinner. It was terrific. We were warmly greeted and seated. Our waiter was cheerful, gracious and helpful in explaining entrees and mains. He also introduced us to the best bottle of Peruvian wine that we had in our two week visit to Peru (Tabernero... More

We had lunch here last week and had such a great experience! The waiter was friendly and the food came promptly even though they were fairly busy. My wife had the traditional Lomo Saltado. We were surprised at how tender the meat was because we had not experienced tender beef on our trip until then. I had the quinoa soup... More

We ate here during our stay in ollanta - after a long hike at the ruins we needed some carbs and enjoyed their pizza on a recommendation from our hotel and we were not disappointed. It was phenomenal, great crust which is important in any pizza and great tomatoes and onions on top. Good service with the owners happening to... More

On main square and open for an early supper (many are shut until 1830). Main restaurant upstairs was empty so no one could hear our kids playing with the games on the comfy sofas at end. Sole waiter/bar man was cheerful chappie. We had drinks and appetisers. Juices and happy hour cocktails were good with frozen lemon juice well liked... More

We had the set menu here, which was decent value. There were some nice looking a la carte options, but they were very expensive for Peru. The food was very good, although I was expecting my starter to have cheese sauce and it came with peanut sauce, which didn't seem to match the menu description.

My husband and I were thoroughly enjoying the culinary delights that many of the restaurants in Peru have to offer – until we got to Ollanta. We forgot about the one recommendation in our travel book (El Albergue Restaurant) and were led astray by the fancy, creative menu and high prices at Panaka Grill expecting it to be good. It... I am notoriously a flexible and adventurous eater. Maybe they were slow that night and that's why things were so under par. The quinoa soups was good. My wife had the trout which was a good size portion, but dry and slightly warm, no extra flavor.I had the guinea pig roll at 50 soles ($19) and it was not a... More
