Nice simple lunch spot

My wife and I had a light lunch here after a long morning of sightseeing. We shared a toasted tuna sandwich and a toasted vegetable sandwich. Both were delicious. The place was completely empty, but I gather that it is more popular in the evening. We would certainly try it out for dinner next time.

We ate here twice because one of our party is a very, very picky eater, and this place offers things like french fries and spaghetti!!! This restaurant accepts cash only, so beware.

Best Lomo Saltado of this trip so far! With exceptional service. The chicken soup was to die for and an excellent remedy for any altitude effects you may have.

Good choice if you want something else than peruvian food for once. It offers good food for decent prices (S15-S25) for Ollantaytambo. The burritos are served with thick Tortillas and feed two persons easily. The service was slow due to only one waiter working during dinner-time. Be aware that the location in the Lonely Planet 2013 is a bit off.... More

After arriving in Ollantaytambo in the evening after a full day at Machu Picchu, we checked into our hotel across the street from this restaurant. We were originally looking for another restaurant recommended by Lonely Planet but learned that it was closed during construction. The town is pretty small so all the restaurants were close by. This is a good... More

We went there for lunch on our last day in Ollantaytambo as it was very close to our hotel and had decent reviews on here. The place has a nice upstairs seating area with nice views of the ruins and the bridge. The service was good, but not very attentive. We ordered the margarita pizza but sadly, found two pieces... The menu by the door listed items that they do not service (e.g. cuy!) We still had good Peruvian food. We had a list of the Peruvian food, fruits, snack, desserts, drinks, etc. and we try to eat as many of them as possible during our Peru travel. We found two dishes (AJi de Gallina, Arroz con Alpaca) here that... More

Popped in here for lunch hoping for a pizza but they were only served in the evenings. I had a delicious Andean salad and my wife had excellent burritos. Service was excellent, portions generous and terrific value for money. Can't speak too highly of it.

In a town full of tourists it is hard to find good local dining establishments and as such when in Ollantaytambo we usually just bite the bullet and go with a tourist restaurant. Our normal stop has been the Hearts Café which, up until recently, has had very good food, but due to a recent drop in quality I decided... More

We ate at Puka Rumi for lunch and really enjoyed the food. It was our first day in Peru and being hungry, I decided to try the Quinoa soup and the Alpaca steak. Both were very good and it was my first time trying Alpaca. They serve the Alpaca loin with a delicious mustard sauce. I recommend this place for... More
