I went along on one of my husbands many business trips to Lima for a week. He is lucky enough to eat here often, it is a place he likes to take clients but I also thought it was a great date night. We ate here twice, once pleasure once work. Great steaks cooked perfectly. Be sure to try the... More

This is a "5 fork" restaurant, as they call a 5 star restaurant, here in Lima-Peru. Meat is excellent. The "chimichurri" sauce is incredible as are the salads and side dishes. They serve you the "parrillada" which is meats you can customize at your taste, in a hot sizzling hibachi type style. They have their own wine cellar with fine... More

Why could we not learn about El Hornero earlier? We were turned on to this lovely, old-school designed steakhouse overlooking the water at Chorrillos. We were seated on the second floor which provided a lovely nighttime view of the city lights. As a NY raised carnivore (both traditional and Argentinian steakhouses), the smell of parrillada (mixed grill) hits your nose... More

Three things I always treasure whenever eating out. El Hornero Restaurant in Chorrillos delivered just that! Although I’ve traveled to Peru numerous times, this is my first time eating at this restaurant. I was invited there by a couple of good Peruvian friends. I won’t comment about prices, since they insisted in treating me to lunch. We went to the... More

El Horneo is a great choice for a parillada amongst the sea-food dominated Lima restaurants. They have several locations, but we went to the San Isidro locale. Great selection of quality meats and well prepared. Definitely satisfying for the average carnivore. Service left something to be desired, we found our waiter to be pushing the most expensive cuts and wine,... More

I had the opportunity to have dinner in this establishment on 3 occasions. The restaurant is large on two floors and can be very crowded but worth the wait. We actually were served our order at the same time which can be sometimes rare in Peru.

A restaurant for meat lovers. I was amazed by the place, not for the decor but for the how huge and PACKeD it was! We shared grilled mushrooms as an appetizer, and ribeye and skirt steak as a main course (we were four and it was more than enough). The couple who invited us to the restaurant took their own... What can I say...if you like meat, this is the place for you! And what a value. The meat is served on it's own little personal sized charcoal hot plate with enough food to feed 3 - 4 people (unless you have grown men who would rather not share). And that's just the meat...it also comes with a salad and... More

we went back to this charming restaurant to take advantage of the beautiful summer breeze this time of the year, so we went up to the second floor one of the best views of the ocean and the city itself, it was a Wednesday but the restaurant was busy there was a table for about 60 people and more were... We always go there if we feel like eating a greatbbarbecue, we go to the one in chorrillos. The service is just fine, the waiters are just nice enough to serve the food...now the food we tried there was DELICIOUS...they give you bread with butter...yummy and the salad is simple but tasty. When the barbecue got to the table it... More
