We go to Lima quite often for business, almost every month and we were looking forward to dinner. We were a party of 4 and we all had the same conclusion at the end of the evening ......a bit disappointed. The menu could be better , all the main courses are to be shared between 3-4 persons. So if someone doesn't... More

Food is great but the service is mediocre. I expected more for its reputation. Wine selection isnt the best either. Bottomline good food and cant ask for more.

First, Astrid y Gaston ha moved from its old location in Miraflores and is a complete change from what the restaurant used to be. You cannot compare the old with the new. The new Astrid y Gaston is in the historic Casa Moreyra in San Isidro and is really three restaurants, each with its own kitchen. The first is "La... More

I have been going to A&G since 1997 when it was still a French cuisine restaurant, and after I left Peru, I went back every year after (we live in Dubai and come back to Peru every August). I witnessed and enjoyed the increasing influence of Peruvian ingredients & revisited dishes all along in their cosy place on Cantuarias street.... More

We dined tonight at La Barra Casa Moreyra which is meant to be the more informal, a la carte, dining setting of Astrid y Gaston on Loma. We ordered three starters, one main to share and one dessert, all excellent, although the dessert was too rich/overplayed to our palate. The ambience was great too: bright, stylish and yet informal. Unfortunately service... More

On one hand, quite imposing as you enter the front door, on the other, each room with only limited tables makes it look quite stark and almost lonely. Once you start the degustation though, you soon realise why this has been rated so highly for years. Wonderful professional service , my wife's allergies presented no obvious difficulties and the degustation... More

What do you get for $300+ ? A very entertaining 3 hour metaphorical trip through Peru ! Food, rather experience. If you eat to be satisfied this is the wrong venue for you. If you eat to have fun, experience the delight of creative and exciting tablespoons of tasting this is for you. We were in a small room cared... More

Astrid y Gaston is one of those rare restaurants where dining is more like a creative experience. The fixed menu at the Casa Moreyra has 29 courses...fortunately some are the size of your thumb nail. Each is very original..and some of the presentations are stunning.Forget about the risk of over eating...and forget about seeing a bountiful plate . Here its all... More

This restaurant was excellent in many ways - the ambience/decor of the restaurant, booking and confirming reservations online, friendly staff. However, even though all these other aspects were great, the food was a disappointment especially for the price. We had the cebiche, the cuy, the duck, the asparagus (although they didn't have white and used green - they did tell... More
