Great Space and Service

The service was outstanding. We didn't have reservation but they took us in for lunch. The food and presentation was great. One of the dishes however took fusion too literally and did not work. Otherwise, highly recommend it.

Last Friday I took my sister and two nieces for dinner at La Barra. Since I heard of this newish place, I was determined to give it a try. (I've been to Astrid y Gaston in miraflores a few years ago) so a double belated birthday celebration was the perfect excuse. Casa Moreyra is a gem of a building, a... More

A restaurant you should not miss Astrid y Gaston if you are Lima. We had degustation menu and I have no word to describe how delicious it was. It was a unique experience. Beautiful location

I can't even begin to tell you how delicious is the food here. We went to La Barra because the other one was so full and you needed to make reservations like 10 day in advance, but we were actually happy that we want to La Barra. From the bread they bring you to the table, up to de drinks,... More

We were excited to book the tasting menu, we knew that this would be an unique experience. The restaurant is nestled in a quite impressive house, a little too sterile for my taste ... but very nice none the less. The tasting menu gave us the opportunity to explore some of the house, the gastronomic ride takes you from the... More

Since we did the big tasting menu at Central, we decided to order from the Menu at Astrid y Gaston and not do the tasting menu. It was still incredible. We had the Yuca Estrellada, the Aeropuerto (mixed veggie and chicken rice), the Lamb Meatballs, and the Roasted Pork with Apples. Ee had an incredible dessert, "La Bomba de Chocolate"... More

An amazing first-class restaurant that will pleasantly surprise with new ideas. Good mix of creative twists on Peruvian fare and dishes you would expect at a top international restaurant.

The beauty of the boring fact of being single is that there is always a seat available. Though the 24 dish set dinner takes a few hours it is worth it! Though, I must say I preferred the Barra! Action, familiar and fresh!

Never have I sat for 3 hours just to eat food. I was visiting Peru with my cohort as a capstone to my Executive MBA program. I wanted to experience what was considered one of the best restaurants in Latin America. When I sent out the invitation to my 25 cohort members, only 4 responded. The cost turned them off... More

I wasn't so sure I was ready for a 3 hour meal with all the courses promised at Astrid and Gaston, but my husband said, just "go with the flow." It was wonderful. Do take the time to enjoy the Tasting Menu. Each dish is inventively presented and so delicious. The atmosphere, the service, the culinary experience are second to... More
