Trad. The best "Lomo Saltado" (cook-up of beef, onions, tomato) in Lima the way your (Peruvian) Grandmother used to make it. Or for a new twist on Lomo Saltado go to Gastón Acurio's Tanta restaurant.

It is an old restored house, with nice food and very good service. The ceviche was excelent but the main course was average. I eould come back

This restaurant is vastly overrated. It serves poor to average two star Peruvian food at five star prices. Service is average at best. An example of what I mean is their fish. "What sort of fish do you use?", I asked. "You have a choice of Lenguado o Tilapia", answered the waiter. "What!!! Tilapia!!! That cheapest of cheap farmed, frozen... More

Mu\y review addresses specifically the José Antonio located at La Floresta con Primavera. Most of my reviews quote "Very good" or "Excellent" but if I share my experiences, is has to reflect the facts to the Tripadvisor readers. It was a bad experience compared to the reputation and cost in that place. The house is very nice and stylish, with... More

I don't think I've ever had better restaurant food in my life. The special lomo saltado was to die for. Our server was also very attentive and friendly.

very good and traditional restaurant. Their drink Pisco is the best one that I´ve ever tasted! Try to stay away from the traditional ceviche, in order to taste the real Peruvian food! Great experience!

After 2 weeks of dining in Peru, I can safely say that this was our best experience. Service was spectacular, food was delicious, ambiance perfect. My husband and I started with the mixed entrada platter for one. It was huge and delicious--I'm glad we didn't get the platter for two as it would have been too much. My husband ordered... More

Located in San isidro (Orrantia del Mar) about 10 min from Miraflores,(Taxi may cost you 12soles about US$5.00) Jose Antonio would be a great choice to experience traditional Peruvian flavor. In Lima you can find very good Peruvian cuisine in several restaurants and lots of famous Peruvian gourmet restaurants in Miraflores but in Jose Antonio you will find the great... More

In Lima you can find a very good peruvian cuisine in several restaurants but in Jose Antonio besides dishes from different parts of Peru, you can also get an incredible Pisco Sour in this great Spanish Style house located in a peaceful neighborhood. The service is very good, when you arrive, if there isn´t a table available (you can make... More

Although you can eat great food in many restaurants in Lima, Jose Antonio deserves a visit if you want a taste of the variety of delicious Peruvian food. Try the buffet which allows you to taste different kinds of tiraditos, ceviches, causa, and many other typical dishes. The place is nice, quiet, located in the Surco neighborhood not far from...
