Authentic food

Authentic food that we really enjoyed. As in most Indian restaurants, there were plenty of vegetarian choices. The place was cozy, the food tasty, and the ambience warm and friendly. An unpretentious little Indian restaurant that I would warmly recommend.

The food is nice but really lack "the" Indian flavor. I had a chicken vindaloo with a butter naam. I asked hot and it was okay. Not burning not mild. The naam took too long to be served and was tasteless. Also had a BEEF samosa that did not taste at all as Indian samosa. Service is alright (average).

We ate lunch there by ordering Chicken Biryani (26.9 Soles), Fish Curry (33.9 Soles) and Chapatti bread (2pcs - 6.5 Soles). The Waiter was so friendly and attentive, explained in detail about their food. Even the Chicken Biryani not served with Basmati rice but still very delicious. For beverage, we ordered Masala Tea / Chai Masala, cost 7.50 Soles per... More

It is a small cosy restaurant with just a few tables. It gets busy. We went there because we were told it is the best indian restaurant in Lima. The best thing about the restaurant was the service, but the food was OK...and not the taste we were expecting after trying indian food in other places. We ordered chicken korma,... More

This restaurant is excellent, the attention and food. The Waiters take their time to explain each plate and advised you a dish according your like. It's recommendable for a family and friends.

I tried Guru after being disappointed by Mantra. I really enjoyed my food - vegetarian samosas, shahi paneer and garlic naan. The shahi paneer comes with rice, no need to order it separately. I ordered my food medium and while it had spicy flavor it was not at all hot. I would order it hot next time. The naan was... More

I have gone to Guru several times, and I'm very delighted with the dishes I have ordered. Two months ago I ordered a Safron chicken (cream based preparation) and today I asked for a Karahi chicken (vegetables in won and then put in stew). I was amazed by the scents and flavours. You can ask if you like no spice,... More

Start with garlic naan and samosa beef with their delicious chilcano drink! Then try their coconut beef curry. The service is good and friendly, very fast & sufficient. My husband and I go there at least twice a month.

Navratan Veg, Chappati, Naan, Samosa - Disappointing The only saving grace was Hot Indian Cardomom Chai and the spicy Dal Tadka. Overall, not a satisfactory experience.
