Best Indian food in Lima

Excellent food is what they prepare here and the host is very friendly. I always end up ordering the Jalfreezi and the Vindaloo curries. Both excellent choices. Together with the Garlic naan you can't go wrong here

As a big fan of Indian food in the US, I craved for some Indian food while in Lima. The food did not disappoint me. I tried the classic chicken tikka masala and butter chicken as well as some samosas and mango lasi. Very rich flavor with a minimal hint of Peruvian style seasoning that just made the meal delicious.

Although this restaurant has few tables (better you call for a reservation), it has a nice variety of dishes from India and Pakistan, including breads and lassi. It is attended by his owner, Wahid. We also enjoy the desserts, specially the one made with carrots. The decoration is modest, and you can see Indian video clips. Prices are moderate, compared... More

The service is very good and food arrives quickly. Overall quite authentic North Indian food and I would most certainly return here. Ambience is also relatively authentic so be prepared to enjoy some Bollywood movies shown on the TVs (on silent so not disturbing) :)

We just spent a wonderful evening with friends here on a personal recommendation. If you love Indian food; I say do not miss this place. It is reasonably priced and the food is mouth-watering. Our friend told us they used to be too spicy, but have added a mild sauce to appeal more to the delicate palate. We had the... More

I have ever tried before Indian food and a friend of mine recommended this place. I totally agree with him and now I recommend this place as well. Twice going there and all id always delicious and plenty of flavors! Congratulations!

If you like spicy food, then Guru is the place. Food from India and Pakistan on the menu, lots of dishes to try. Dishes are really small, prices are quite expensive compared to quantity. Every dish is around 30 soles. Really nice to try, but for me it had quite strong flavors - not my favorites at all. Bollywood movies... More

Partner and I visited this restaurant longing for some good indian food. We had been in Peru for 3 months now and really missing some curry and this place delivers. Excellent service, great food and the Chai Massala was authentic. We ordered spicy and got spicy. Thanks :)

I consider myself an expert when it comes to Indian cuisine. Lima has very little to offer the cultured Indian palate; it does however has a little gem tucked away in Surco - Guru Kebab & Curry. This is hands down the best Indian food in Lima. Sure, the "other" Indian restaurant may be more "fancy" in terms of decor... More

Treated myself to lunch at Guru this past Saturday and was not disappointed. Everything was great, from the fluffy-yet-crispy garlic naan to the rich and creamy chicken tikka marsala (which comes with an order of rice). I especially liked that my dish had a hearty amount of chicken in it, and enough sauce to keep me sopping up with naan... More
