Any time a restaurant agrees to stay open in the mid-afternoon so that it can accommodate you is a great start. We were desperate for Peruvian food during a break in business meetings and the JW Marriott front desk recommended Pampa de Amancaes a few blocks down the street, near the famous Larcomar mall (which had all the same unremarkable... I find this resturate less crowded. It has good food that is well presented with good service. It is upscale traditional Peruvian food.

Pampa de Amancaes is a good Peruvian restaurant. The food is well presented and the menu offers a good variety. Pre-dinner drinks were great such as Pisco Sours and Gin Tonic. However the wine list does not match the rest. A bit restricted.

I had a really good dinner. The goat is truly astonishing served on tacu tacu and they have starter that is technically ceviche stuffed into mini burritoish rolls which makes it more than eatable for the non-ceviche-fans as well. What was surprising thou, is that I was the very first customer for the night at around 8:15pm and while I... More

This is the kind of restaurant that serves pisco sours at lunch, and it's almost mandatory! Of course, starting with ceviche is also required. We loved it. Trying to keep things on the lighter side, since lunch is usually about 2 PM, we followed the ceviche with a house salad.

The Miraflores Park Hotel recommended this little restaurant located nearby. The service was very good, and we tried a few Peruvian dishes (causa, lomo saltada) that were very enjoyable. A good spot for when the first night of arrival to the hotel.

We were recommend this restaurant as a good place to go as they offer a pre-fix menu and round trip transportation on coach bus for 95S/pp to the bull ring. I believe this offer is through the bullfight season. The owner is a former bullfighter and was very welcoming to us. He was most gracious in making sure we were... More

We were surprised to find that dinner reservations at the best restaurants were very hard to find on one or two days notice. Our hotel booked us here and we thought we were lucky to get it. Unfortunately the food was very mediocre. We subsequently had much better at various locations around the city. I'm sorry not to be able... More

Pisco Sours were good but the food was excellent. We were there at 8pm and the place was deserted. We would have enjoyed some other people but it seems Lima is a late dining venue.

Even though we live in Lima, we didn't know about Pampa de Amancaes until we found it in Trip Advisor :) We were "Wonderfully Surprised" by the "old time Good Peruvian service" that they offer and the delicious food! The Pisco Sours were an Excellent beginning to a great Sunday lunch experience. One that we'll definitely repeat. Home made breads,... More
