We decided to visit Mayta because of its Tripadvisor rating and comments in the local press. While the drinks and service were fine the food was OK but nothing to write home about. In a city with so many top places they will have to make a greater effort if they want to stay in the top league.

This restaurant has a great food in a decent setting. Definitely one of the most well prepared restaurants in Lima. Casual but not too flashy interior and service is prompt and attentive. The food here was also very nice, slight touch of diverse origin on their dishes. Bread and dessert were also very satisfactory. Cost is just about normal bistros... More

The most lasting impression of this very good restaurant is that you are witnessing the work of somebody who is not afraid of creating new ways of combining ingredients. The result is remarkable. it is an experience that you can really enjoy. The restaurant market in Lima is very competitive and Mayta does it very well. Worth trying it definitively.

I really liked that is not a super bussy place, si very quiet and cocktails are great. I recommend you the pisco sour and algarrobina, is what we tried, typical drinks of peru, and super strong and tasty

The cocktails were great, that's the main reason for a score of two stars. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pie de choclo (corn pie) as starter was good, the shrimps were ok, but not surprising. The dressing was too sweet and missed spices. The seafood risotto was yhe biggest disappointment. It was no risotto but simply rice and all taste... More

Went yesterday for lunch to experience the 6 dish degustation offered through the ongoing Mistura food fair for 59 soles. We enjoyed the whole experience. Had a 22 soles chilcano de pisco made with lemon grass and another made with grapes. Really refreshing and only two of the more than 3 dozen chilcanos on offer. Very small servings like it... More

I went there with my family On August 31st 2014. It was our last day in Lima but unfortunately, it was, by far, a bad experience. After 15 minutes that we were sitting, the manager told us that we need to order our main course ASAP because the kitchen was ready to close. It was 4:15pm. We've been sitting for 30... More

I visited Mayta last night for dinner. We ordered 2 chilcanos off their extensive list of chilcanos (ginger and strawberry/passion fruit). They were both really smooth and a delicious way to start. Ordering was difficult because so many menu items sounded delicious. Mayta has a lot of Peruvian/Asian fusion dishes which is one of my favorite culinary combinations here in... More

Food tasted great, service was good also although some dishes took some time I guessing because the place was crowded. The main dishes are on the small side but we're ok for dinner in my opinion, What I didn't like was the absurd prices of the appetizers, we order stuffed Portobello mushrooms and the price was S/.40 (~US$15) and it...
