Description: Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

We were so glad we found Saqra (the Seafood restaurant we originally planned to eat dinner at was closed for the evening). We started with a delicious (and enourmous) Trout Tartar. Upon receiving our main courses one of the owners came to the table and gave us a "tour" of the dishes we ordered, describing the preparation and history of... More

Situated in a small cobelstone lane, this restaurant has great food, good service and good decor. The quinao tableau was very good and so was the dessert lucomo. A little pricey for the portions served. A dinner for two can set you back by 100 sols.

Saqra has a great location in the heart of Miraflores on an adorable little avenue. We went with a group of four people total and everyone enjoyed their selections. Service was a bit slow but the ambiance of the restaurant allowed for easy conversation as we waited. We ordered two desserts to share that were both fantastic and so creatively,... More

Saqra was recommended by the hotel concierge at Casa Andina (just down the block) as well as tripadvisor so we decided to try it before leaving Lima and we were very glad we did. Convenient location, lovely service and the food was delicious. As previously noted, great presentation. I am a pretty picky eater and enjoyed everything that was presented... More

I'll keep it simple. Try anything, you'll love it. The food is simply amazing. These guys have taken traditional peruvian food and made it sublime. Presentation is perfect, flavors are in the right point. Nothing is spicy unless you order it like that. Simply superb. The whole decor and atmosphere makes it feel special, unique. You feel like you're in... More

This place was recommended by someone at our hotel and was within walking distance. The food was delicious and the patio seating was very nice the evening we were there. Would definitely go back again.

It is a colorful place with eclectical decor, sponge bob paintings and all... But the food is excellent and so is the ambience. Have the bombitas for dessert, the best! Their chilcanas are the best!

We ate here for our last day in Lima based upon positive reviews on tripadvisor. Started with the duck carpaccio and trout tar tar which were both outstanding. Water crest and baby bok choi were especially enjoyed as Peru is not known for its greens on the plate. All ingredients were fresh and carefully balanced as were the pisco sours.... More
