Description: Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

The ambiance on the outdoor patio, the food, and the service were impeccable. Ceviche was excellent. Lomo soltado was the best i sampled in Peru. Pisco sours were light and refreshing. Simply one of the best dinners for the price (very reasonable) I have had.

Hello Derrick, Thank you for visiting us and for your review. Both ceviche and lomo saltado are very traditional dishes. We follow the recipes to the dot. Cevcihe is part of our Arab heritage: the lime used comes from Northern Africa and was brought by the Spanish (actually,by the Moor women, servants of the Spanish). The secret of this dish... More

Carolina Saenz, Manager at Tierra Viva Miraflores Larco, first recommended another restaurant but found she couldn't make reservations for our party of four. She then recommended Saqra and made the reservations for us. To think we could have missed this place! First off, our group of four are four business guys, two Chileans and two US, that have been traveling... More

This was a perfect meal for our first night in Peru! It's an adorable restaurant just off the beaten path in Miraflores. Great service, great setting, and the food was divine! Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I love this restaurant and always come by when I'm in Lima! I would suggest starting with a passion fruit pisco sour and try one of the many appetizers. I had some amazing Gnocchi made with Peruvian potatoes which like clouds! Also, save room for one of the amazing desserts.

Amazing food, and service. All 4 of us thought this was one of the best meal we have had in South American. The ceviche was to die for. We asked the owner to open a restaurant in Aus. Wish I stayed another night in Lima just to have another meal.

Came here for dinner with a party of 8, the food was great and exceptionally plated (works of art if you ask me!) Very quaint location with options to sit inside or out. Lots of different dishes to try, and when in Lima be sure to get ceviche (it was amazing at this place).

This restaurant is located in a very nice place in Miraflores. The place is really cozy, dishes combine native peruvian products with gourmet cuisine. Price is a little bit expensive but it is worth at least once, right?

Snuck in here just before they closed and they graciously accepted us. Cathedral sized pisco sours, outstanding raviolis and kind staff. Felt bad for keeping them after closing but they never showed an inkling of annoyance. Wish we could have gone back. Snazzy place with a cozy outdoor area. Definitely recommend!

Hello Lindsey, Good you got the chance to visit us. Our kitchen closes late (11:30pm). You had a cathedral pisco sour.... isn't it great? The raviolis are very grandma's style. Please drop by again. Have a nice day, Joaquin SAQRA More

Had an amazing meal with quinoa crusted scallops and chicken and polenta in a blue cheese sauce recommended by the wonderfully polite waitress. Finished the meal with a pineapple fig filled donut with pineapple coconut ice cream and a banana crème brulee with chocolate ganache and a five spice ice cream. The dessert was equally as good as the meal.... More

Good morning Beco, We appreciate your visit and detailed comment. You had the "solterito", a very fresh salad from the south. The other dish is a creation of ours. Glad you liked it. You had 2 very special desserts: the donuts are called picarones (dough made out of sweet potato and pumpkin), they are popular street food, and we tried... More
