Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

Wonderful Food and Atmosphere

All five meals in our party were presented beautifully and were delicious! The staff was friendly and professional. The restaurant is simply charming.

Quaint and quiet little restaurant off the hustle and bustle of surrounding Miraflores! So glad I had made a reservation the day before. We found that they were turning away people without reservations, even though over the almost 2 hours we were there tables were empty. I am sure they have a reason for this...one, we were left to enjoy... More

We went here our last night in Peru and we were not disappointed! Highlights included pico de gallina sauce and a lovely lucma bonbon. Very nice and attentive staff.

A wonderful restaurant with great food & service. I had the Parmesan scallops, lomo saltado and a pisco sour. Prices are reasonable for a quality meal. I didn't have room for dessert but would definitely eat here again!

The service was excellent and I am sat here with the taste of one of the best pisco sours on my palate. It isn't too busy and we are not rushed. It is a lovely end to our Peruvian experience.

You know how important the first and the last impression. This place was just the right finish. First of all the interior is funky, playful and fun. Even if don't want to go, please go to both Dali-like bathrooms - it's just "vow' you. But a restaurant is food. It's very good here too.Try pork stew in a chile sause,... More

This Restaurant is a very popular one in a bylane off La Paz Av., in the Miraflores area of Lima. It serves modern Peruvian cuisine as well as Mediterranean. Our Hotel Concierge recommended this for our farewell dinner in Lima. It is not very easy to locate this from the main Avenue, as it is amidst several art handicraft shops. Not... More

We ate here on our last night in Peru and it was THE best meal of our trip! We had fish ceviche as an appetizer and my daughter had the osso bucco with potatoes which was delicious. I had the grilled octopus with "causa" and avocado which was perfectly cooked. My daughter, who is 16, had a lemonade with mint... More
