Description: Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

Wow! My wife and I ate dinner at Saqra after reading such positive TA reviews, and this place lives up to and exceeds its ratings. Saqra is a small, casual restaurant in the heart of Miraflores with a whimsical decor that offers unique blends of exquisite flavors combining traditional Peruvian ingredients in creative new ways. The servers are very friendly... More

We had a great meal at Saqra. The staff was friendly, fluent in English and the vibe in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. The only turn-off was that it seemed most of the customers were foreigners / travelers - not sure if this is a place that locals actually visit.

Thanks to Regina at the Marriot, we had a great dinner at Saqra! The Pisco Sours, Octopus, Aji Galletto and Ossobucco were amazing! I would recommend bringing a map but worth it!!

Fun, quirky restaurant with well prepared local specialties in good, central location. Solid choices, very reasonable prices, unhurried and attentive service.

We went in a large group, but I think the environment suits better for small groups or couple. Food was delicious but our order didnt come all at once, that was a bit dissapointing for some of us. The waiter could have done better with the drinks menu...

We've eaten there twice and the food was great. Last visit we shared appetizers: rare bonita in lime/basil sauce, panko prawns with passion flower/ginger dipping sauce, and panko/sesame seed crusted scallops with local salad. Everything was outstanding, bursting with flavors. Coupled with a bottle of wine, it made for a lovely afternoon.

Loved the piña colada virgin. The food was quite good. Adequate place for an informal lunch with family and/or friends; or some drinks as well.
