Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

Most amazing lomo saltado I have ever had. Great intimate setting, terrific service, and fantastic food quality! We sat outside on the quaint patio, and enjoyed the evening.

We went here on our first night in Lima, looking for a good dinner place to start our trip off and this was perfect. We had a bottle of wine, an appetizer, two main courses, and a dessert and it was all delicious! The gnocchi and ceviche were excellent. The waiter was super attentive, talking to us about the dishes... More

Hello Kelly, I just read your review. We apologize fro this bad experience. But I think your comments lack truth. Here is my response to your review: 1. Ceviche: Made with fresh sole from the day. Sometimes we ran out of it. As you say, it was 8pm. We open at noon. That is 9 hours of ceviche availability. 2.... More

About a block away from our hotel, this restaurant came highly recommended by front desk staff. We were not disappointed, except for the fact that they were out of ceviche on our first visit. We chose other things to eat and were not disappointed. Very reasonable prices for the quality of the meals.

During our pre-trip, on-line research we discovered Saqra Restaurante. We decided to try it out and were pleasantly surprised at how close it was to Casa Andina Miraflores Hotel - right around the corner. It was a very pleasant evening in early June, so we sat outside on the front patio. The menu was an intriguing mixture of traditional Peruvian... More

Not impressed, the food was decent, but not more than that, and when we were not really happy with a course (the "bonito" did not seem very fresh), they tried to convince us that it was supposed to be like that. FInally, found it on the expensive side

Good morning Per, Thank you for your review. Bonito is fresh from the day. Quality and freshness are a must in Saqra. Bonito has a high fat content that makes it tasty. All the best, Have a nice week, Joaquin de la Piedra SAQRA More

Visited this retauraunt on holiday with my family, two teens 14 and 15. We really enjoyed our visit particularly the Lomo Saltado which is a must try. This was the best example that we had during our two weeks in Peru. The deserts we magnificent, creative and well presented. We found the pricing very reasonable and the bathrooms were hilarious... I had a free evening in Lima on the last day of my trip, and my tour company suggested that I have dinner at Saqra. it was a great suggestion. The options on the menu are varied, and the food was excellent. The presentation of the meal was really well done, too, and the server was very attentive. The atmosphere... More

This restaurant is a mismatch between exterior and interior design. When you look at it from the outside you do not expect the hip/trendy look they have inside. The inside is cool and nice. How a restaurant looks is important, but obviously not as important as the food. The food was great, but a bit strange - they runed out... More
