Description: Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

Eaten at Saqra a number of times now and it has been consistently high quality in its welcome, service, and (most importantly!) food and drink. Have tried lots on the excellent menu but pick of the bunch would be: morcilla (interesting twist) for starter, tacu tacu for main, and bunuelos to finish. Delicious! They also prepare excellent drinks - great... More

We had a very good meal here. The artichoke soup was outstanding. We sat outside where the lighting could have been better. Watch out for smokers if you sit outside.

We wouldn't have found this little gem if the hotel staff had not directed us there! Our first meal in Peru started with a lovely ceviche dish washed down by a welcome Pisco Sour. Our main courses were a spiced beef with crisped bread strips and a salad with scallops rolled in quinoa (delicious). Attentive waitress and reasonable prices.

We broke our dining rule and ate here two nights in a row during our recent visit to Miraflores. The decor is quirky and fun, the Pisco Spurs are flawless, and the waitstaff is well-trained and helpful with some English-language skills. Try the Parmesan Scallops. Unbelievably good! The four of us ordered a different entree each night and everything was... More

We are in our 50-60's and on vacation, but I kept thinking about our four young adult children and how they would love this place. One day hopefully they will visit! Excellent dishes. (We had scallops, quinao, osso buco, and octopus). Exquisitely presented. Perfect drinks and friendly staff who don't hurry you onwards. Fun casual atmosphere, good lighting. Would come... More

There were three in our group and we had 6 different dishes....each one a masterpiece!! Very friendly staff and on a... More

Delicious. Chose a soup starter and fish main. Really enjoyed, sat on the terrace, which I think is nicer than the indoor seating. Thanks to the reviews of others or I wouldn't have found this place. Paid S/100 for three courses and a beer. Quite possibly the tastiest food I have eaten in Lima.

Our last evening in Peru. It was perfect Ceviche appetizer with a chile ravioli dinner. My wife enjoyed the scallops. And Ethel was a great host with great suggestions.

We wanted a good but not flashy restaurant serving typical Peruvian food. Saqra was recommended to us by our walking tour guide and it was the ideal choice. We chose to eat in the outside garden; the menu choice was varied and interesting; our selections were all delicious and accompanied by excellent Peruvian wine. Service was friendly and efficient.
