Description: Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or...
Saqra, from the Quechua language meaning “little devil”, “naughty” or “mischief maker”. Saqra also refers to one of the characters found in the festival of the Madonna of Carmen in the village of Paucartambo, Cusco. Here, this happy little devil wins the heart of the Madonna with his childish pranks and mischief making as he dances around her playfully in the procession. These ideas inspired the creation of Saqra as a restaurant bar that offers modern Peruvian food where we reinterpret the Peruvian identity in a playful and contemporary key, conjuring up fun and colourful results. Saqra, in essence, is not really a place but a state of mind where this little devil plays a delightful host who wants that all his guests live a unique experience, where they meet again with their the inner child, sometimes long lost.

Great Food, Nicest People in Lima!!!

I just got there because of the trip advisor reviews. But this is one of the best restaurants in Lima. People are just wonderful. Owner came and was eager to talk to me and fulfill all my needs and questions. A beautiful girl (Don't know if she was the manager or the owners wife) was very charming... read more

Had dinner here the last night of our Andean Tour. It was suggested by the receptionist at out hotel. The server Edoardo was great. He was very attentive and friendly. The food was great. We started with parmesan scallops for an appetizer which were melt in your mouth delicious. I had the swordfish cooked to perfection. My husband also loved... More

did some research, read reviews, mostly v good, for our recent trip to peru, my daughter and i decided to visit saqra one evening, we were disappointed with the experience, luke warm food, small portions, inattentive staff, (restaurant quiet when we were there) and quite pricey, for the type of food served.

Located near the Casa Andina Private Collection Hotel in the heart of the Miraflores district. They offer a small selection of daily Peruvian specials along with regular menu choices. We had swordfish, one of the daily choices, and it was well prepared, tasty and filling. We sat in the small enclosed courtyard in front of the restaurant that had a... More

We chose Saqra because of the extremely interesting menu, with a great fusion of nouveau cuisine and traditional Peruvian fare. The food did not disappoint, and the colorful ambiance made it even better. Very reasonable (about $30 pp with appetizers, drinks and dessert).

Many dishes had a slight twist to them making them interesting. The dishes were well presented. Service was great. We had two entrees, two mains, one dessert plus drinks and the bill was 200 Soles excluding service charge. Being a vegetarian myself, I was stuck with pasta choices for the main. They weren't that flexible with altering ingredients in a... More

The food here was sooo good. I had a lomo saltado and my husband had a ceviche. Both were great. Taking off one star for service. We might have come in between shifts because they seemed understaffed. We ended up taking a menu from a nearby empty table because we couldn't get their attention after being shown to our table.... We went here as a last supper with our tour group after doing the inca trail/Amazon. We chose here because of the great reviews and it was around the corner from our hotel. It did not disappoint! I had the ceviche, the gnocchi, carpaccio and the pineapple dessert. All were delicious! Everyone (there were 10 of us) enjoyed their food.... More

This restaurant was just down the road from our hotel, Casa Andina, and was recommended by our city tour guide. We went relatively early, (around 19.00), so it wasn't too busy. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food seemed to be unusual combinations of local foods but worked perfectly. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food. I... More
