A real gastronomical experience, and truly Peruvian

This restaurant is the number one rated restaurant in Latin America, and deservedly so. We were lucky to get a reservation a few days beforehand, by emailing the restaurant for a lunch spot. We were glad we left early to find it, since there is NO SIGN outside and we almost missed it! Though... read more

If you read all the hype about Central and don't believe it , you need to ! Extremely hard to book for dinner however it's the same menu at lunchtime and far easier to get a reservation. Pre dinner drinks at the bar were served with two types of homemade potato chips on bases of puréed avocado and potato ,... More

We had our 9th anniversary lunch here, specially knowing that this is so far the best restaurant in Lima which is accredited with the Michelin stars. Virgilio, the chef , has achieved how to combine service and the best flavor experience in one place. The food is absolutely unique, the presentation of the dishes is perfect and pleasing to the... There are no easy words to describe our experience. The Chef has brought peruvian food to an artistic setting. The food is very detailed oriented. Flavors, temperature sizes, ancient roots. Impressive. I order fish, was good. My husband ordered lamb or goat cooked for 16 hours. was out of this world! Side dishes were good too. Desserts were amazing! and... More

One of the best food experiences I have ever had. Food is really really good, extremely creative, but without falling in ridiculous dishes where you feel you just ate some flavored air. And before going, I heard from some people that I would need to go afterwards to a second restaurant, otherwise I would starve...well, I got one starter and... More

We had very high expectations leading up to our 11 course tasting menu dinner on Monday Feb 2/15. We arrived at 7:45pm stated seating time) but the restaurant did not open its doors until approx. 8pm. We had reserved more than a month ahead for 6 people but they had no record that we had requested the tasting menu. The... More

It is my third time in El Central, and the second time taking the tasting menu, but every time it is a new and wonderful experience which invite you to come back and having again.
