Well deserved ratings for this restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. Loved the whole experience of eating there, from their bread to their water and their very unique cooking. Would definitely go back.

I always thought of Lima as a gastronomic heaven, but Central has surprised me. Impecable attention, exquisite food with local ingredients traditionally used by Incas... creative, refined, delicious.. overall a great experience. Tasting menu a must. I got lucky enough the hotel managed to get me a last minute table.. but usually months of wait. If you are visiting Lima,... More

Central is probably the best peruvian restaurant in the world. We took the gastronimic menu, which was excellent. resh sea food and astonishing corn bysides. I strongly rcommend this nice placed and well decorated restaurant.

Central was for us a five senses experience of the andean, sea and jungle world of Peru. The setting allows you to see all that is being prepared in a phenomenal open kitchen. the team work is fantastic. We were 4 and tasted 3 appetizers and 3 mains, all of which were very creative and made of things you could... More

My wife and I are visiting Peru for the first time and could not have had a better introduction to the regional cuisine than at Central. Every offering of the Mater "Elevations" tasting menu was skillfully prepared, wonderfully balanced, and stunningly good. It was one of the best meals we've ever enjoyed...anywhere.

Let's start off with the fact that I'm a) not an adventurous eater and b) don't love fish. However, I tried everything that was served to me as part of the Elevation Tasting menu -- had to see what the restaurant and the food was all about. Even if there were some dishes I didn't love and wouldn't like to... More

I had several days in Lima to kill and was looking for something to do. I decided on trying as many of the top restaurants as possible, as the cost of this is was about the same as the tours I was looking at. Best decision ever! I tried to get a table without a reservation one night but they... More

Having just been told by friends in Lima that Central had just been voted the number one restaurant in Latin America, we made a reservation, hoping it had not been overly promoted by the local Peruvian media. It turned out to be the most wonderful, surprising and creative restaurant experience we have ever had. The tasting menu for two, with... More

We were thoroughly impressed with the innovative technique and skill in every dish we've tried at Central during our 2nd dinner in Lima, especially after our disappointing first night at Astrid y Gaston. Everything we got from the Coca Pisco Sour and Fruta de Passion cocktails to Tiradito de Mero and Pulpo al Carbon appetizers, as well as Cerdo de... More
